Demos lower sales thats why no one makes them anymore. In a perfect world we would buy movies/games for a low basic prize and add a tip to it if we liked it. The movie and game industry work like a circus freak show that takes your money bevor you can see the "amazing real mermaid" knowing that it doesnt matter how shitty the product is after you spend your money. Thats why we have global release dates and only critics that a known for their nice reviews get copies of AAA games bevor release.
Lol, that's such an accurate analogy. For movies there are atleast some reliable review options out there, but for video games you never really know if you will get something good in return for your money.
I think it's getting better. I see a lot fewer 9+/10 reviews than I used to see. It feels like the system is slowly correcting its heavy score inflation. Movies don't have score inflation. A 5/10 movie is great. You might still like a 3/10 movie if you enjoy its genre/artists. Scores under 6/10 aren't really used in games, but it seems to be getting better with 7-8/10 becoming more popular.
They aren't bad, you just have to remember that the scaling is nothing like the scaling of any other 10 point system.
Maybe video game critics finally took of their nostalgia tinted glasses and noticed things like indie games or middle budget companies being 90% shovelware trash, and that lying to players about things being good just made them waste money.
Game was overhyped... ...sony wants to sell consoles and that is understandable. But the game is really nothing new. Its GTA, but not as much character and story kind of sucks.
I managed to avoid spoilers of any description (and the game play) so if I'm still interested at all and find some time between other games I might try it out.
I couldnt watch it after the main character let the other guys gf die, its just to depressing to watch.
I don't think Walt could've stopped that. Was he even aware that she was dead? Although, it's been a while since I finished the show, so I may be remembering things poorly.
no he did let her die intentionally - in the first second it looked like hes gonna call help but then decided it would be best to let her suffocate on her own puke ... series is good and all, nicely drawn characters, but my gripe is, i miss one i can identify with.
Ok, I understand which gf we're talking about. I was talking about Andrea. I'm about 90% sure Walt couldn't've helped her.
I don't think you guys understand under how much pressure Walt was when he took that decision. He needed Jesse to function, to be sober and to cook so Walt himself could survive and stay out of jail.
