Eternal Silence 1.1 is evil I say! EVIL!!! It also knocked out my adaware. A couple of my programas have also been bugging out since I downloaded ES 1.1. Why can't this computer give me peace!!!

Isn't this the official topic for ES? If it is then you're on topic. Like I said previously the reduced lag gave me more edge dogfights. I don't know what's wrong with my "target closest" button though, it just scrolls through every goddamn object in the battlefield and never the closest enemy like it's supposed to... I need to check the bindings in case there's a conflict. I feel a bit broud about dropping a couple of guys down who played with joystick. :p I play on keyboard you see, but I guess the hours spent with Descent pay off now. I just wish I'd get my Linux installation work properly again(I probably have to re-install the whole thing again). Then I could install Doom 3 and Into Cerberon(a Descent mod for D3). Guns still feel a bit generic, but I've noticed that the new damage values with carbine let you kill people more effectively from distance than with any other gun. Grenade launcher and the tank buster secondary are both still extremely weak. I think I'll wait one more patch and see, if it improves enough.
The tankbuster is for killing spaceships... But I dont see the point of it, if in the map given, spaceships cant shoot inside hangers...
It's kind of a weird weapon too. You point and something explodes under the cursor? What's that about?

No not really, not worth it... Could become something big later... if you could pilot that corvete and man those turrets that seem to be of no use... Thats what I expected when I first tried that game...
