you can still play if you make a fresh install of dwarf fortress and then paste this region into your save file.

 

since diffrent tilesets are used i figured it would be stupid to link my full installation with a custom tileset... making it 30 mb instead of 4.21mb...

but sure, ill upload my own DF version instead of just the relevant info to that specific fortress, i dont mind that.

considering a region save with an active fortress is about 8mb, and the native game install is 5mb, i definitely don't see your logic.

furthermore, i have 5 versions of dwarf fortress installed currently with different mods. to me it is much more convenient to just unzip a full client somewhere and jump right in instead of trying to find or reinstall a perfectly unmodified version of dwarf fortress and then make edits to the init file like i always have to do.

ur logic of uploading a full DF mayday modded version is retard.
people use diffrent tilesets and what not making it pointless for those with vanilla settings.

It's none of my concern if you modded it, only that you upload a vanilla version of it so that new players can just double click and start playing.

 

new players should be able to follow instructions such as "put folder X in directory DF/DERP/BLA"
othervise they can bugger off.

ugh ok well, I am not feeling well enough to play dwarf fortress, especially with 50 dwarves to look over, nattaboy you can have it, i need rest

 

The accelerated version is epic, my laptop that cant run hl1 at more than 12fps can run a 75 dwarf fortress at ~25fps :V.
The non-accelerated version runs at ~5fps no matter the amount of dwarves.
