Well, okay so he indeed did some cunty things towards you.

Again, fine by me coupled with the previous thing to get a hammer on viper.
But the issue here is that guns was also banned from both the servers and the forums, permamently, which is somewhat inadequate punishment for having shit opinions.

 

I believe trying to ruin the reputation of Vicki, who has spent countless hours working for this community, organizing events, helping newbies, testing new maps, etc. and done much more than Guns has is a quite a bit more than just a little "cunty".

Vicki is arguably the nicest and most forgiving person in this community. The fact he tried to character assassinate behind her back is what weighed the most in my decision to also ban him from the forums.

If you think sly character assassinations and a creepy disposition towards ratting is just "having shit opinions", then I don't know what to say anymore.

 

Well so far ive only seen a single exchange towards you, that hardly counts as ******* levels of people manipulation. What ive seen is a person abusing words talking about what seems to be an incident.

Forums had jack all to do with this situation though. Last i heard guns didnt do any such thing in here.

Oh yeah, i forgot about that, what is this sudden "ratting" thing. The server has its set of rules. I dont really see an issue if someone reports rule abusers to the admin. Frankly, it seems like a sensible thing to do. Its not like its a giant shock there either, for as many admins viper had over the years only a couple were actually active.

 

Server owner has also asked people to report / rat to her about issues on her server by steam or email.. just saying.

But thats what im saying, reporting issues to admins is a perfectly natural thing.

Now, i dont know what exactly is in those mails, but if the names are an indication, i see reports of rules violations.
So in reality it looks as if a person is stigmatised for, unlike most other memebrs of cummunity, actually trying to do something about rules abuse. How exactly does this make him worse than anyone else rather than better? Also the mails seem unopened to a degree, which kinda raises an eyebrow where you seem to ignore a report about sprays. Hell, ive seen pornographic sprays on viper myself and it may have even been child porn.

 

It's a matter of principle. Also, I'm not the only source as Vicki has mentioned before. I'm just the one coming forth with the evidence of what Guns has been saying about her to me (And it isn't all of it, nor does it include what he has been saying about me to others). It is up to people themselves to make the decision to bring their evidence out into the open. Though others have already stated they will further elaborate.

Ratting is more of a euphemism at this point. Guns would record people even if there was no drama or griefing going on, and then present out-of-context snippets to Vicki as far as I understand. In fact, I my self have caught him doing this, and it wasn't even on VIPER.

See above. This is indeed true and approved practise. But what guns did went well beyond that.

 

you are twisting my words, when people complain to me w/o proof and only when they complain I tell them w/o proof I cant take any action.
I have never asked anyone to sit there and constantly try and get people into trouble as guns has. Its an everyday thing with him or was until I blocked and removed him.

Its one thing to give me a complaint now and then its another to do it on a regular basis which I might add most of his complaints did not pan out when I used to check them before I got his number.

But as usual the point is not about guns tattling on everyone, I never banned guns for that, never threatened too ban him for that either, please read through the thread before making inaccurate posts.

 

and I am done defending myself, if anyone feels so bad for guns buy a sever and invite him on it, but I will be damned if someone is going to try and convince people I'm crazy and throw my admins under bus for his obsessions with recordings just so they wont believe the wrong doings he's done and play on my dime.

 

But why just Guns ?
What about about 2 years ago when you banned Spike and there was all that drama and slander ?

Or the issue with Candles harassment.. Where are the other permanent bans for the other people ?

 

Quite frankly is seems the lynchpin to all that is personal assault on vicky. Which all in all is a shitty thing to do, but a petty thing to get a long range permaban for.

 

buy yourself a server and right all the wrongs you feel.

Well just what are you doing except lash out at me. Again , i said i just wanted proof. Im neither with not against whamo by default. I am however against rash decisions. I dont give a crap what you think im doing, the only thing im trying to see is that its not some ad hoc execution.

 

Z1000m if you think I'm unstable because you have challenged me on every post I made and took up my time demanding proof then so be it.

If you do not accept the proof I have shown, that's your issue not mine.

If you think you can force or dictate a server owner to allow a someone on their server by challenging their right to do so, you are incorrect.
If you think I'm lashing out at you by telling you to get your own server, that is mighty thin skinned
Like I said if your not happy with the servers available to you get your own, that is exactly what I did 5 years ago when I joined empires.

Other people were named at the time, but their behavior was not systematic or on par with the level of Guns.

The culture and attitude towards this kind behaviour has also changed in the meantime. The only way to really put a stop to it at some point is to draw a line, which is what we did.


As for Zoom. Plenty of evidence has already been posted in this thread, as well as the statements of others. And there is yet even more to come in the following days. We didn't decide this ad hoc, and it was thoroughly discussed between server owners, admins and devs before we came to this decision.

You have previously stated you were talking to him. How does he explain everything so far? The fact he tried to throw JGF and Frax under the bus even though they were not even playing at the time? The fact he lied when he said he had never spoken badly about Vicki, me or Candles. The fact that VIPER admins confirm he's been secretly recording and stirring drama? The fact that not just us two, but others as well have received complaints about him?

 

I can confirm what catface and viki are saying and i have received various complaints about guns and wham.
