The one on the left is a video game series. It is one of the most difficult games I've ever played. Of the 13 or so games, I've beaten one of them. The easiest one. With the easiest character. On the easiest difficulty series. It took me a month. The one on the right is a cartoon for little girls.
Yeah, but they're damn hard. And the fangame spin-offs can get even harder. Then each of them has a unique scoring system, some of which are required to know if you want to reach the proper ending. I've played bullet hells before, and then I've played Touhou. Lunatic difficulty isn't called that because sane people try it. Then there's the music. Gigabytes of game music, over a terabyte of fan remixes.
Candles, as much as i consider you an intelectual bro, you are just being butthurt now. Typical situation when someone makes a statement that you believe hits your tons of hours of work put into something. People make weird comparisons sometimes, just get over it. And if you think I can't relate, I also sometimes get enraged when people call my beloved, bullshit hard, Homeworld series gay.
I feel more drawn to Touhou though. It's the animating style I think. EDIT: Youtube search for a Touhou gameplay video on Lunatic difficulty, you have to NAIL IT DOWN (like a robot) or die. Uh-mah-zeeng.
But at the end of the day, all you're doing is moving an object around following a gap. It may well be near impossible, but I don't see how it's fun.
I didn't take Candles' rage seriously, lol. The other part of my first thread mentioned brony rage, because saying FiM is about tea-parties, and instant-friend antagonists, will drive bronies to madness - at least those who critically appreciate the show. They really are apples and oranges. I like apples and oranges, although from the crappy way that RA3 makes me feel (micromanagement, no, not even, button mashing twitch RTS games), I have a feeling bullet hells would make me want to cut myself. But I'd keep playing, for some reason. Then I'd get depressed. Then I'd get someone to help me smile. Then I'd go get a crane to clean up all these bent up boxcars and smouldering ruins of pressurized gas cylinders from this massive derailement.

take a lossy compression and compress it again with the same compression and your going to end up with more shit. I will admit though thats impressive fail boating.
Yeah, I know. But it's just something about it. Having dealt with people bringing Ponies into Touhou for a good year now, at places where they're absolutely unwanted, with Ponies being brought into damn near everything that I do for fun, It just kind of explodes into a miniature volcano of rage. I won't deny that I'm butthurt, but at least I got it all out. I suppose it's more rage at ponies in general than the comparison. I can't go anywhere without running into them where they're not wanted.
