    I agree having a pistol at the ready for HOME security makes sense, but owning a knife launcher, some big assualt rifle, and a machine pistol is just pointless.

    If someone breaks into your house you shoot them with a pistol, or threaten them.

    Going to a range and competing with your friends might be fun but doing paintballing or airsoft is much more fun.

    I personally want a PepperBall TAC-700. I'll pepper (apologies for the pun) that burglar with tear gas rounds and some glass-breaker rounds mixed in for a little sting.

    EDIT: Hmm, this HotShot thing seems pretty nice (and available to consumers) :o

    The glass rounds are labeled "Not for use on humans." last I checked.


    Tasers are good for the economy. No hospital bills for the state to pay after you finish with the intruder.

    If someone is standing on a ledge, the operator is assumed to be smart enough not to taser them. If you have a valid argument about how tasers cause more damage than guns, I'd love to hear it...

    At least with a gun you can wing them in the arm or something. Tazer pretty much affects their entire body. Sucks if they've got a pacemaker.
