Empires Summer Scrim League Game 3 - 27th June 21:00 BST/ 16:00 EDT/ 13:00 PDT

So we are going to exclude people from playing because you don't want your team to have extras?
Versus throwing them at Xray so they can play, and the remaining on your team can play?

Such elite, so inclusive, mah sekrit club.
Divide the extras and we can avoid people getting left out, these may be most active empire games we will get in awhile.
Leaving anyone out of these games is super fucked up.

I didn't even say they rejoin Quebec the next game.

Apparently not seeing as people are getting kicked out.

 

The rule is that everyone is guaranteed one round out of the 2 at least. That's how this works. People play with the same team because it's important they are actually a part of that team. Like DDD said, this is not a pug, this is a scrim. If you want to host a pug with mixed teams, do that yourself, but that is not the event I have organised. It is important that teams are equal on numbers, so I always anticipated some people having to sit out 1 of the 2 rounds to fix that, but sitting out both is unacceptable.

I'm not going to start ranting at you for your irrational hatred of anything you can possibly deem as selective. I get you're very much a "it's the taking part that counts" person but sadly that doesn't work when it comes to raising the skill level of players, so the rules are there in order to facilitate that.

 

But what if they leave after this series of games?

I'm not saying that the game is going to die, but raising the skill levels won't matter if a quarter of them go inactive, or decide to move on.

I'm treating this like these are the last big games were going to get because it may very well be.
How long ago was the last league series, and how much time elapsed between them?

If this is going to be a yearly event, and your dedicated to host them yearly then ill drop it here but this is a possibility.

 

Frankly good luck noticing if people dont just group switch if they see that their team is full and other lacking. Someones going to do that and im not going to blame them. The scrim effectively killed any saturday empires so its one game to look for.

 

Pretty sure that won't if you keep 2 and and split 2
or keep 2 and split 1.
May have 1 extra but better than 3 extra.

If people do leave, I want them to have a good memory of their experience.

So they can pass on the story and that story can invite more people.

I will say my experience with my hand over my heart.

But peoples experiences may vary, I really liked game 1 and 2 of isle mostly because it felt like I was actually apart of something and mattered.

I mean im mostly shit in these games and im really trying to get like I used to be, and I don't know if its because of my inactivity or me biologically. Being apart of delta squad made me actually feel important in empires kind of like when I used to be in BSID. I don't get that experience of feeling of being needed from any other game I play.

I really like this league series, and I wish I was there for the last one.

No, zealoth and crew were actually fine squadmates.

 

More fun than our team, which spends an hour+ discussing strats and then changing them in the last 100 seconds of comm vote time causing neither the original plan or the amended plan to get implemented. And then complaining about why neither the original/amended plan worked because "nobody stuck to the plan".
