How about we all let this thread die? its obvious recon is a r-tard. There has been a thread like this before, wasnt there?
nah. That wouldn't keep the spirit up! btw: www.fpsbanana.com got a hell lot of modellers there, can't we just kidnap one and force him to make non-css stuff?
Personally I'm curious to know what exactly is being done to the scout.. then again I'm sure everyone is wondering 0_o
How about they have something to say first? They are bug fixing most of the time. Just wait, and stop being so whiny about the whole thing.
THEY HAVE! Half the dev team posted in here. Let me summarize: They are fixing bugs. Sometime this month there are going to figure out the direction for the mod and figure out what all needs to get done and what will go into 2.2(I assume). They are porting everything over to an entire new SDK. Its not glamorous or exciting but porting everything over to an entire new SDK isn't exactly trivial especially since the new coders need time to get comfortable with the code/exetera.
Wow, stunning. Yeah, they better fucking quit there jobs and stop attending school so they can do more shit for free for us. Make like a tree.
The problem with giving regular updates is that people complain if features are removed. /from_past_experience
Yeah, but they will complain even worse when 2.XX comes up and *SURPRISE* there favorite feature has been removed. I'm just waiting for all the OMG!?!? WTF!?!?! posts when 2.2 is released without 9mining and the Scout pseudo-sniper rifle.
Make a blog, KT It isn't hard to post "We're still working on BLAH" and that post would have a date associated with it to appease people without patience.
This is a seriously good question, and I sadly don't have an answer for you. Don't expect many Additions from that thread in the near future, as 2.2 is designed as an engine change, with very few new features or additions. We haven't decided what features from the various threads (there's a good one in the tester section too) will be included in the future, it's just too distracting and time consuming. A very good question though, and one we hope to be able to start answering after 2.2 is released.
It is nice to know Empires is still in development. That is enough for me. Keep up the good work devs.
