They have implemented really great features to make it known if your being aimed at by a sniper.

 

If there are any, then i have yet to encounter them.

Is anybody else getting a black screen after a round has ended and the scoreboard disappears? I still have a visible mouse pointer, but the game doesn't load the next map.

 

I just got this puppy for this game. My old GTX8600 died on me
(or was it a 8800??? well it does not matter anymore its dead)

I think most of the bad reviews are due to Origin and the authentication system.

Seriously though, two 6870s in CF ($280) is a pretty kickass setup that can trade blows with a GTX 480 or HD 6970 (~$330 each). That's quite a savings for the performance.

Don't ever just buy parts on a whim. Find out what you want, what you like. Then watch the prices. Get informed on new stuff that is coming out and how it might affect your purchase. For example, hard drive prices are skyrocketing because of serious shortages due to flooding in Thailand. Translation? Buy an SSD!

I noticed that. I'm starting to like playing smaller maps though, they tend to be easier when it comes to spotting the enemy.

I've noticed the blinking scopes, but i always think it's the flashlight attachment, which i hate with a passion.

We should all play together, see how good we all are.

Oh hey, i start the game up and guess what, another black screen. So i'll have to reinstall my videocard drivers every single time that my computer restarts.

 

but...dont you have to restart your computer every time you reinstall the drivers?

The game won't work if i restart my computer, so i don't really have a choice.

I found a possible solution to my problem: uninstalling ASUS smartdoctor and gamerOSD. Problem is, now the game won't start at all, says my videocard doesn't support DX10 and up. I'm not the only one with this problem, but this is getting ridiculous. Every single day it gets worse.

I got it to work by reinstalling my drivers (again), the game is pretty stable now, it rarely locks up or crashes. Earlier today i accidentally killed a teammate by blowing up the side of a building and having the debris land on his head. Maybe we should consider moving Empires to Frostbite 2 if there's ever an SDK out for it?
