Blimps? And I was looking forward to dogfights....damn it... If it is serious...then I think someone needs to go to detox.... Honostly, it's a very, very, very stupid idea. We would rather have fast planes, then slow, bulky, floating explosives. Blimps are meant for reconnasaince, not air to air dogfights. I wouldn't mind a blimp scout, but not blimp warfare. Give the people what they want
I can just imagine blimps with cannons. Lining up with the enemy blimp and letting loose a barrage of cannons on each other... Like flying warships :D
Yes, we need Zeps, and they should be able to support and launch a wing of fighters at any given time. They'll be like flying aircraft carriers But on a side note, Irongrip already has the blimp warfare thing going on :mad: , awell, i guess we have to stick with agile, gun blazing, missile launching, bomb dropping icons of awesome .
Dude, are you an idiot? A scout with sniper could shoot a hole in the baloon a mile away and the blimp dies. Even if the blimp uses seperate pockets of gas, only a few need to be poped. Flying whales :eek: are much better at absorbing nukler and biological attacks. You drive them by tickling specific parts of the tounge, which is a VERY fun experiance that I think most people will enjoy. Just don't get swaloed!
These blimps are covered with Kevlar, bullets do no harm. Each air bladder inside is also kevlar coated adding a double layer of protection. They really are quite safe and easy to maintain.
One word: rockets I hope these blimps are faster...faster than a jeep with a fission engine. We want dogfights, not flaoting gunships. Theres a difference between a p38 lighting and someone opening up a window of a blimp carriage and firing a pea shooter at the ground.

ofcourse they wont stop nukes, planes wont either. What a waste of a nuke. The "sea-wizz" like weapons on the sides of the NF balloons and the focused energy beams on the Emp baloons take care of the missles. Youve gota really lay out our blimps with alot of lead to overcome the kevlar and other defenses.
That would be awesome. It would bring me back to Warzone 2100. I can see myself flying bunker buster vtols to take out turrets and walls in 1 or maybe 2 shots :D Gonna go install warzone again !
jambo i think the transport aircraft would put a strange twist on some maps... canyon map: bases could be built on top of the massive center island. bases will now be built in weird places what if their was a map , like emp_money where there was no brigdes , and you have to depend on aircraft to land troops and bombing raids blitzcrege enyone ? :D

May I ask, why are you making blimps when we could have "good" aircraft. I was really looking forward to DOGFIGHTS. as in mano y mano showdowns of the top fighters, giving it their all to stay alive... Instead we have blimps... You see, there's a fine line between wanting to float and wanting to soar.... Wait, that's not even on the same line, that's more like comparing ketchup to peanut butter. Both go good on sandwiches but they both don't work well for the same sandwiches. You see? It sucks now. GG I think a lot of people here agree. If you make blimps, they better be soar at 200 kph, doing barrel rolls and saumersaults instead of some shitty balloon that floats and is carried by the wind at 10 kph. Theres a HUGE difference.
