I don't know what destroyer does but ive played it enough to fucking hate it and can only find comfort in watching other players suffer like I did on a regular basis.
when i suggested a similar yet way less punishing spawn system for empires during my little unsuccessful crusade against tickets at a time i still cared about the game, everyone was like "omg wait longer then 10s you must be crazy" - now you play dota and wait for 90s if you die late.
Played it enough to learn it's bad, but as long as nothing else is on twitch that is worth watching I'll watch it. I'll also cheer for EPIC in the next amateur tournament they join.
The MLG tournament in a month or so is free to watch ingame. Watching it ingame is vastly superior to streaming so I'd recommend that for definite. All the top teams are playing there.
Can you join MLG as an amateur? I remember a silver league player going up against a StarCraft 2 pro.
Outta curiosity, is dota like empires where it's okay playing with randoms but 1000 times better if playing with people you know who can get shit done? Cuz I remember playing this for a hour or 2 and wasn't completely impressed. Edit:Honestly dota feels like the entire mmo experience wrapped up in about 1 hour rounds.
