Jup, it's fucking amazing to pull of some great teamplays and when the game just flows right and u decide playstyles and force them to make moves u want and take the fights u want them to take. Albeit this is only achievable if u get like atleast 300 wins IMHO. Deif dont u even dare commenting.
The point is and will always be for the bigger part of the dota 2 audience that support heroes and the people playing them are supposedly the bitches of dota which is fucking untrue. Playing support like you are supposed to is the most satisfying time. People don't appreciate it enough because they get the complexities of playing a good support. It's not only about warding and dewarding there is so much more to it and them portraying supports as the shit of the team is completely retarded.
I checked for this one and yes you are right, but there was talk of an open qualifier that happened before that. I think you could maybe qualify for the next one?
Lol, we'd stand absolutely no chance. It'd take a team of Commie, Deif, Retrofade, Paradox and some other 5th to even get through early rounds. There's no chance the rest of us are up to that level.
Nobody said it was gonna be easy But yeah, I realise how different the level of play is on those tournaments, but I'm just saying you might as well try it, no?
just gotta be prepared to face tryhard mid tier players, i won a couple of those sunday cups a while back
http://www.ukdota.net/article.php?id=48 I was thinking about entering that but considering it's a midweek tournament no doubt games will be played during the day hours I'm guessing (although it's only 32 teams), which I can't make. I can easily make the Brit total to 3 so other people can hop in. The only reason we entered DotaRec in the first place was because Trickster pulled a reddit thread from out of nowhere to me. It was good timing to do such a thing and so it was easy as everyone was about to get a team forward. Since then I still have a desire to play more competitions but: Most people associated with the "EPIC Team" (I don't know why it's been labelled this in this thread but whatever) have fucking bombed with inactivity, and I mean pretty much killed compared to normal standards. There has been no chance to play inhouses with the regulars, finding 10 would be stupidly hard without good notification. I've played like 1 with Paradox and his mates and Deif, but the atmosphere just isn't the same. 6.79 has spiced the game up. If enthusiasm can be raised, which in my personal opinion it won't be, I doubt you will ever see us in action again soon.
Looks interesting but I can tell it won't happen because all the hopes and dreams appear to have been crushed after that tournament. Ohwell.
Most of us have school / work / living at uni with shit internet (Slade), etc. I highly doubt anyone here (except me, possibly) has the time to play Dota 2 for 10 hours per day to get decent enough to play competitively. I'm probably out for good anyway, since BF4 is coming up and I'll be focusing on that with my BF clan.
Yeah but remember I'm at uni too, on shit internet and at most I probably play 2 games in the evening on some weekdays if that, and given these tournaments for complete amateurs like these are quite rare in the scene, you have to take opportunities. Hopes and dreams haven't been crushed after that tournament at all, at least not for me anyway.
Well I hope you get the team then, I will definitely watch you guys if you tell me about it beforehand.
