Which Unofficial maps should be made official in next release?

erm.. midbridge..? Its a cracker map

 

PLunge is pretty fun.

 

emp_midbridge
emp_plunge
emp_shadows
emp_bush
emp_vehicletraining
emp_escort_beta3
emp_arid
emp_frost

All of these maps are well-made and have had considerable testing/playing/updating. I think they would make good additions to the official list.

 

escort_beta3 will be just an update to escort. I don't want to see midbridge because it's chokepoint'ish as hell. Maybe some things will change a bit after balancing. We can upload custom maps to 2.2 testing server so we'll see how good they are. Especially with balance changes.

Personally I want only maps with good gameplay to be official. Many maps look nice but are unplayable.

 

I still love smokies, it has chokepoints but infantry can run around everywhere while tanks are fairly restricted to the paths they can take. It's a gren's heaven

 

Smokies and Shadows are undergoing gameplay fixes.
I want to release both Smokies_RC2 and Shadows_RC9 with 2.2.

Well, maps that I could see official.
Arid is the only one I could see being official.

sorry silk but its a one chokepoint hell so i vote no

 

it sure is one huge choke then

seriously, the water is for mans to swim to the enemy main, which becomes a base with a VF so the enemy team can enjoy tanks on both sides

however, you can strike the mains with artillery from the safety of your side of the map (especially NF's main), but that just makes artillery slightly useful

 

fixed, except maybe arid, it's not very fun.

 

arid should be made official imo

I heard there was this map being made with canyon like cliffs and a res flag in the middle with a forest n stuff. TBH it sounds pretty fucking awesome.
