please fix nominate or remove it. i buggs up so the nominate screen never disappears restricting weapons changing
if customs are breaking yer server, make sure they are OB compiled ones (dont trust all the mapping threads as being recent)
My admin mod's menus are not broken, the problem is with the binds of empires, but it should be fixed in 2.24. In the meantime if you or anyone want to add this to your local autoexec.cfg file all my menus will work fine: bind 1 slot1 bind 2 slot2 bind 3 slot3 bind 4 slot4 bind 5 slot5 bind 6 slot6 bind 7 slot7 bind 8 slot8 bind 9 slot9 bind 0 slot10 If you haven't made one, just open notepad paste those in and save as autoexec.cfg and put that file in here: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\SourceMods\Empires\cfg
Thank you, I will. It seemed for some reason the minimap file for emp_mvalley disapeared from my server files. I readded it. So hopefully that fixed the problem.
Even though I have the slot1 slot2 in my autoexec, I still can't select choices when I'm in a vehicle. For some reason it just overrides the autoexec. Maybe I should make it read only.
Or add the same lines in the infantry.cfg and vehicle.cfg so they are ran when you enter vehicle mode and when you enter infantry mode. Problem solved, or at least it should be.
I'm so tired of idiots disconnecting when I teamswitch them to unstack the game. BOHOO I CAN'T PLAY WITH THE WINNING TEAM .
Could you add a RTV or other vote-based map change system to your server? Its one of the few common server commands that are missing from Viper.
You're right. We do have one for css but I just shut VIIPER CSS server down as soon as I have some spare time I will make one)
Thanks Jessiah. My server rental company gives me free web hosting with unlimited space. VIPER used to have a forums too but it was hacked 3 times with tons of porn so I took it down.
VIPER Server Will be Ugraded Next Week I am so tired of trying to figure out why my server gets so laggy over 40 players with tanks. Our specs are 3.2 gig dual quad intel processers, 4 gig ram, unlimited bandwidth, but I just found out there are 11 games on that server I rent So we are going to do the following. Next week they are acquiring another server with same specs as I have now and I will be the only game on it and we will put the slots to 54 and see how it goes. If it goes well, he will then add another game or two and we start to lag we will do one of two things. He said I just might need a fatter pipe instead of 10/100 use a 100 only nic card or he will give me a price for a dedicated server which will not have any other game on it but mine. I have no idea how much the dedicated server will cost so hope I can afford it. But I am trying to make VIPER Server as best as I can within my means. I hate the lag too:mad:
