Training Server: the place for ... nobody?

admining on gmod was always a lot easier than admining on sourceforts when everyone constantly yelled for admin or that people are griefing

 

try admining on css, "CAN I HAS NOCLIPS?!?" "BAN THI AWP NUB OR IL GET THE OWNER OF THIS SERVER TO KILL YOU"

 

nah css is one of the easier games to admin on---getting back ontopic?

one of these days the poll will close. I wont be online that time, but dont worry. As soon as I wake up and found my internet cable, I will start reviewing all the candidates. No new candidates will be accepted when I am reviewing candidates. It will take some time to make up my mind and find a lucky winner. Also I might contact the lucky winner and see if there is any possibility in him having to work with some runner-up candidates. So for all of you waiting for me to announce (a) lucky winner(s), will take some time.

15th candidate just came in running and lost his shoes somewhere on the way

 

Hy all.

I’m really grateful that this server exists, and i think its important for the empires community.

But in the last two weeks I see it more and more often that a lot of guys exploit the server to the max. That just spoils a lot gameplay and wastes a lot of time.
Sound spam.
Walling own Com in.
Setting turrets and radars on refpoints.
Throwing smoke on spam points at escort.
Walling VF.
....

Yesterday we got two of this freaks and we managed to get one banned.
But it took 45 min to ban him because a lot of players don’t know how to voteban someone.
(Incluiding me, till yesterday)

It would be nice if the refs on this server give the same amount of resources as on other, don’t think it’s a good idea. Lots of people exploit it by building 7 VF or Rax on a map ! That’s has nothing to do with training.
Hope this server keeps on going.

FEI (For Everyones Information): I am "candidate nr 6".

I have setup forums for the server here. Information about the server and it's admin team can be found there. If someone has some available web space, I could really use a fast download mirror (the server I have ATM doesn't have a fast enough connection to do that effectively) as the one that was in use up until today has disappeared.

 

well....at least its not someone from [KM] who owns the server...

 

Hey recon, I can't register on the forums. No matter what e-mail address I put in (aol.com, gmail.com, hotmail.com) it says that there is no valid MX record for that domain.

 

His server wont send emails. it needs to be able to validate that the email is real. Also Recon i might have a server you can try using for your downloads. we'll talk on ur forums.

 

I resolved the MX error that people were getting on registeration...
