I like old fashioned teleportation, the kind that involves teleporting through hell, and giant spinning balls of spikes in rooms made of spikes with spinning arms covered in spikes cooled by blood.

I hope real teleportation involves that.

seriously... now that we have inf maps we probably could build a 1:1 scale model of enterprise. :)

Already done. If you're gonna go big, try something that hasn't been done already and plastered everywhere that cares ;)

They don't have a model of enterprise 1:1, its much smaller then that. Enterprise has like 15 + decks in it.

isnt the real enterprise like 5 or 10 decimeters big max?

i mean you guys know its a prop etc made from foam, there is no real starship... right?

so how could you decide how big a 1:1 version of it really is if its all just fake to start with without having to design the entire starship from scratch and applying building limitations of the supposed future without having any idea how the future will be like while adding in systems that havent been invented yet, let alone had the basics of the process they use for propultion or the science behind it set in stone?

its a closed loop denial circle where you need to know at least one or 2 of the "unknown" factors before you can determine just how big a ship of that function desires to be to be most practical for production and maintenance, engine and power supply capacity, and finally crew and housing

realisticly speaking i dont think we will be producing spaceships any bigger then nuclear subs (crew wise, so about 80) anytime soon due to the practicality of all sorts of things, and i think you should look at them more as a rocket with a crew and a breaking system on arrival then a spaceship that can set course and stuff like that

Speaking of the fictional ships and not the miniatures, the USS Enterprise D is twice the length of the constitution class, which is 289 meters long. So the NCC1701D would be 578 meters long, question is: what is a meter in minecraft?
It'd also need 42 decks, a deck on that ship has plenty of room above your head.

    1 block = 1 meter cubed.
