RC 18 Patch - Sitting Around the House Edition

The sticky mines completely ruin the game. Everyone is just driving around in kamikazee jeeps and tries to get as many kills at once as possible. That was already annoying in Battlefield 2, please don't bring this to Empires.

 

Even more disturbing: when a jeep is driven by a person other then the guy that put the mines on, he won't even be hurt when shit blows up.

That's a little too much.

 

Really well done with the standard cannon, except I agree- the heat increase really is a bit much. i totally agree with the other stuff but the heat (perhaps the damage too but what do I know) seems to make it a little bit too rubbish.

 

As much fun as it is, bombing the crap outta people with a jeep like a bunch a terrorist, I think it's for the better cuz no one was really playing & everyone was just bomb bum rushing each other. Though wish you could stick land mines to people, like C&C: Renegade, though a rare tactic in that game was to get players to switch to Stealth Black Hands & have technicians plant land mines (to easily rid a build of players) & remote C4 on the players playing a SBH & have them sneak into the base while the Tech waits for the SBH to give him the orders to detonate when in front of the Master Terminal.

But then again you would have walking land mines jumping in front of vehicles, though I guess it could promote suicide team tactics.

I have the same problem, had it in rc17 too.

 

For me I spin forever to the left at a constant fast speed.

 

I have the same problem as M4573R, I spin to the left and move foward forever.

 

No, you can have that with any game. This seems to be something with moving sideways, nothing more.

 

I had it with my first mouse, it's the age that causes it.

Same thing happened to me in Eternal Silence. I was too lazy to fix my joystick, so i just uninstalled the mod. You newbs with the problem should wait for EthO to figure out what went wrong and write a big convoluted post about it.

I think the jeep bombing only happened because it was new and fun, not cause it's a legitimate strategy that will normally come up once the fun dies down.

 

Some nice person ingame helped me. Typing Joystick 0 in the console stops the spinning.

 

I tried muting a spectator, (while as a spec myself) however it didn't mute him. Does it only work once you join a team?
