RC 16 Patch - Are We There Yet?

    So whats the final radius for the squad leader aura, any way to tell if your in the aura of the allmighty "sarge" ? Its prolly there and I can't find it.

    Sorry but Im brain storming at work so I cant test to find out but are the Squad leader oras still working or have they been compleatly replaced by this new option?

    And as for adding abilities that affect vehicles I think the curent ora abilities would work fine for them. Some of the new abilities would be a little over powered with vehicles. Such as the reserecting vehicles not to mention the practicle reasons. Is the tanks status saved untill destroyed or after the wreck dispears?...

    yeah he finally made empires worse than it was in 1.04 but still managed to keep it fun to play :D

    prone can still drop you through displacements, it was quite fun to put a turrent under our base on slaughtered (which we went to every few min when the server crashed)

    Squad leader bonus radius is more or less 5 meters. If squad leader is the only person in squad he still gets the bonus.

    I don't like new texture for duststorm.

    All tank shells and rockets and whatnot go to the map's origion, instead of the tank cannon.

    Ah, the spawning under the map using mass revive makes perfect sense now. I'm guessing this is also why the artillery never fires.

    Im at a LAN now so I cant help testing or see for my self.... as my steam install is lost...

    Haha, that's a good one. Seriously, the new duststorm textures are awesome. It looks like a real desert now instead of a HL2 one.

    is the HMG texture needed? i dont ever use that gun anyways.. but will it be included in a later patch or should i just do that now

    also i love the new duststorm.. i agree it really looks good.. but i dunno about isle.. maybe it will grow on me.. but my first impression was why!? lol great work tho

    1.The Squad leader skill icon for the HUD is too big and blocks ur view. I would suggest making it smaller and moving it near the player's health. Ideally, remove the blocky blue box and just keep the icon. Have it fade in and out base on ur distant from the Squad leader.
    2.The apc's crosshairs isn't lock at perfect accuracy . It doesn't effect where the bullets hit, but the crosshair lines don't retract. Its possible that it effects only when your a certain class, or where in a firefight before you jump in the apc.


    2 questions:
    Scout: "The squad leader hide makes you hidden no matter what you're doing, walking/running/jumping."

    1. Firing your weapon should break your hide, right?
    2. Does the Squad Leader active "hide" skill temporarily hide you from radar also? If not, it would be a nice feature.
