<rant> Since when helping newbies was a bad thing?

@Grapehead, this is why when I play, I have my FRAPS on. Whenever I need something recorded, I just press one key to record and press it again when its not needed anymore. Compile it and later and delete the raw recordings to have soms gigabytes free again.

Police officers can go corrupt anytime, the Chief cannot control his men 24/7.
Innocent people get abused and sued to the court and takes the blame for what the corrupted police officer did.
The judge is part of the government, same as the police. Of course the judge believes the police in the first place, unless the innocent one can come forward with proof. Otherwise the corrupted officer just gets away with it, while the innocent one has to do his time in jail.

If the judge didnt believe his police corps, then why does the government has a police corps?

Here on the internet, everything is possible: fake accounts, dupe yourself and make it like you are the "majority". Change IPs, change computername, change MAC adress etc etc ... Everything needed to have your traces cleaned can be done.

A real management team is very close with each other, have same understandings, and good relations with each other. Like best friends.
(you would trust your friend above some 3rd party guy you have never met before too, right?)
So the first thing the server owner would trust, would be the words of his admins. Otherwise every griefer can say he didnt grief. Then who is right?

So very simple, when the server owner is sleeping or watching porn, the admins will abuse the server.
All you need to do is press a buton to record it with FRAPS, compile it with windows movie maker (already on your PC!) or for the advanced: sony vegas, upload it on someting like megaupload, rapidshare, vimeo, youtube .... and post it on the empires forum and/or training server forum.

Fake name you said? The team is close with each other, they know around what time no other admins will be on, or when a certain one goes to bed or has to go to work. And thats when they abuse their powers ...
There is a program called Steam Friends and whenever your friend (server owner) gets on the server, you (the admin abuser) will know and plays by the book. Then there is also IRC, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo!, Google Talk and whatever they use ...

Words are nothing. Proof is everything.

I like to help new players whenever I can, even if it means getting type killed (or even worse, in a tank). If we don't help the new players out, they will get frustrated and quit. If all the new player quit, the population of empires won't grow. Also, at the OP, you aren't being controlling by helping. That person failed to recognize that you were trying to help not control. People do that a lot, don't worry.

 

as long as the new player is level headed and is wanting to actually learn im always up for helping them, prolly because thats how i learned and i feel i have to keep the cycle going =). i just hate it when people ask for help but they dont listen.

I just read the thread. I didn't think Training Server stuff would end up here...

I am going to make one thing very clear. I will not take any action agenist the admin in question unless you present proof. I'll look at the log files and ask around, but byond that, there's nothing I can do. Like Console said, I trust my administration team first, and you second. It's nothing personal. For you to expect anything else is, IMHO, a little unreasonable.

With regard to the reserved slot system, how many times has this happened? I can take a look though the plugin code if this is a serious problem.

 

I still don't understand how you can miss 40 lines of console screaming:

That was a minor thing on the scale of things. I turned off the drugs feature as I said before...

 

If you are a nub who can't com well yet, try it on a small scaled game.

Doing so in a large game, like a 8v8 or higher, you will get flammed because if you're doing something wrong, a lot more people will get affected by your nubiness.
