    Make a separate directory and upload. For instance in modelsrc_3ds/imperial/crates or something. It's not like I expect them to be in usable state knowing you.

    uploaded in modelsrc_3ds/imperial/props
    i only uploaded the SMDs
    but i got the compiled models too
    they work in hlmv and smithy already got a look on them

    Usually I compile SMD+QC into the final models myself. I check if they work and so on before committing their compiled versions.

    FW since poly work seems to be easier for you than textures can you work on redoing high poly versions of some models like Brenodi med tank? Smithy is/was working on LT/AFV. Mash did a bit with NF APC (should be in SVN too).

    We have lots of models with LP and no HP. You should probably start from ones that just need HP redone to get nicer normal map/textures baked and not ones that should be just redone from scratch.

    Actually you can drastically change the look of things quite easily with the diffuse map.

    You can essentially completely change the material an object is made out of, as well as add in new structural elements on the texture.

    Although it would require you to be a good texturer, which is hard.

    exactly THIS is my point
    besides i just wanted the model to be done because you can easily replace the texture anytime
    but remodeling the whole thing takes more effort imo
