i cleaned up the gallery a bit so you only see the most recent shots whats new: I baked the first normal map as you can see it is completly in its raw state it came out of the renderer, so dont moan about those curvy edges the only thing i wanted to show atleast is that it actually works and that it improves the models look quite a bit (this is no render because i couldnt get the direct x viewport shader to work in rendering aswell and it gaves me the best looking results, so yeah its only a screenshot)
updated with the rest of the LODs and the first texturing attempt im salvaging the old texture and i still have to cut some thing of and place them somewhere else n stuff (the white seams)
Maybe firewarrior can answer the most important question of Empires: How do you open one of those @#$&ing crates?
no shots added just report i found the time to make all textures of the second crate today probably gonna make the rest tomorrow
I guess the shinyness comes from the material you have selected and not from a specular map. Looks nice top quality just replace the old crates with those already.
im not at home for one week (skiing in france) when im back i will finish the crates(maybe make some new diffuse maps too) and i will have more time to do it
