Flasche has a point, if someone modifys vanilla so they can get an advantage ingame and still play with other people that don't have those same modifications you'll be getting alot of angry players that just quit alltogether. Firewarrior's removal of the BE rpg shield isn't bad looking at all and there is no real reason not to include it in offical releases. Infact I don't see how you can expect new players to have fun or stick around when they don't have access to the same things the "better" players do. I.E. norollerbar jeeps, nowireNFwalls, removal of all particles, modifying infantry skins so they appear black and purple pokadot, and the list goes on.
It's funny how you all complain about particles blocking vision when it's not that bad, especially when compared with say, any battlefield game or in fact real life.

While I appreciate the sentiment even I have to admit the original nukes were really meant to troll people with their ridiculousness.
I don't like the new nukes, because of the "muzzleflash/muzzlesmoke" they make, can I have the old ones? Really, I am serious. I never had any performance issues with any of your particles so far. Keep making them shiny please
It's not because we chose to remove annoying bits of models that this mod has no new players. It's because there are a lot of faggots and cunts that can't introduce a new player to anything, and will bitch and whine at him for just being himself.
There are tons of reasons but these posts will go nowhere if you place blame rather then think of ways to fix them or better DO THINGS to fix them.
so guys I just wanted to write something about the project (so you dont think work stopped here) i would give you the altered rpg for test, the problem is that neither me nor trickster can compile it the studiomdl just cant open the .qc of the model anyone had that problem before and know how to solve it? (and dont call me a retard MOOtant unless you cant show me a way making this work without buying a $40 program)
None of these look very good since they're pretty much just slapped on to the original model, I probably need to slice up the existing geometry to make it blend in better. The hatches are kind of a pain since I can't obstruct the view of whoever is sitting there.
You could just remove them. Honestly while you're there I'd just replace the top hatches with mounted machineguns which are armored on the back and sides. It'd make top hatch rides far more practical.
How bout the wrists on all player models? If anyone has a pic that would help, you guys know what im talkin about I just thought of another one, have you guys ever noticed how all empires player models are looking at the ground ALL THE TIME? go walk up to someone, hes aiming at your balls, but on his screen he's looking at your face.
