on targets. It is actually quite effective in this version, I never noticed how unspotted most people are unless you havea really annoying enemy in your base that is basically camping the spawn. Cameras are pretty effective now, go build one, they cover a huge space. There was beta testing, just most people didn't go to test them, so it's our fault really. on soft collision. It was really shitty back then when you couldn't get past somewhere because 1 guy was standing in the middle, soft collisions is only a problem when there are proners or crouchers, and you're only going to run into them on shitstrict or any other tight urb. And even if you die in 2 bullets, remember this, they die in 2 bullets too. anyways, mootant should be the most like honoured developer, he allowed the game to have higher vehicle limits, he should get the fricken Nobel prize for that.
We also have to constantly wrestle him to get useful suggestions in and stop him from putting in really really bad ideas. Don't get me wrong, he's a code savant, but sometimes you have to worry. Also, you'll never get banned for expressing your point of view on empires or giving criticism of the game itself.
Would this be worth the extra polys? If not, you can get the cheap version with 5 polys on each axle: Here's a missile pod on the side of the NF light as someone suggested: A version with tubes instead:
i agree with removing the details at the bottom and i would prefer the second version since you can only shoot Std Missiles with the LT anyway the whole launcher looks to powerfull for that
the pod looks more warhammer like though, tubes remind me more on (smoke)grenade launchers. also which one is the current apc? the one with gearbox or the one without? im pro gearbox ...
Pod is good and visible, which is the point of models, to be visible. if you can't see it easily it's not worth having.
I like the Tubes. Would feel weird to have a badass missile pod model shooting missiles unable to kill inantry on a direct hit let alone the laughable damage to vehicles. Would it be possible to get different missile launchers for different missiles at mediums and heavies? A missile pod would fit salvos well, but I think it would be somewhat weird to have it shoot bio missiles or nukes. Did someone complain the NF Heavy having two MG's? My asshole heavy uses them both, leave them alone!
Scale them relative to the turret, the other tanks have bigger turrets so give them bigger pods same as you give them bigger cannons.
I think the tubes are awesome, it's understated, throw the pod on meds and an even bigger pod on heavies! does what you did to the undercarriage mean rockets will hit it?
show a sketchy "tier" on meds and heavies i think the pods look best but if they are a bit too high tier for the light (and would end up heavies having ICBM launchers on there backs then yea...
Here's something that would be awesome if fixed, lowering these side wall things down to the bottom of the targeting thing would be nice.
should we lower that playermodel in the back there too? ;P if you give me the model and the texture its only a matter of minutes same goes for the BE rocketlauncher (damn shield)
