    EPIC + ringers so the games can actually be somewhat competitive.

    Pretty much this.

    The fact is, I can probably drag enough EPIC into a game to put a team out, but a lot of them won't be particularly happy about it, and those guys also won't be willing to put the required practice in to "de-rust" themselves. I've never fielded an EPIC team that I felt wasn't fully up for the scrim, and I won't start now.

    McD is fairly straight forward. I ask anyone active who wants to play to join it. There are of course going to be a lot of EPIC within it, but only the ones who are actively playing Empires or at least want to play in the scrim enough to put the time in this week. We aren't playing under EPIC's name so there's no real pressure to perform, so I have no issues taking on random pubbers who have never played a competitive game and just want to try it out.

    I don't think our reputation factors into this at all. I think it's more of a matter of you guys wanting to play 5v5 mobas instead.
