I've noticed in the past and present, attendance on public server is actually higher on a sunday.

We should organize this scrim ONLY around FN and Trickster.

 

FN is USA west-coast and Trickster is in UK. A USE server would give them the most equal footing possible.

I cannot even begin to imagine how disgusting Security would play with a decent ping.

 

Not really. You only have to look at the pings when we play on VIPER to see that people across the whole of the USA are sub-80 pings at the very worst, whereas most Euros struggle to get below 120, with many reaching 200. Meanwhile, when we play on a UK server, a similar thing applies vice versa, though people on the East coast have had sub-100 pings to the UK, by the time you get to the West US, you're generally around 150ish. So while average ping is generally lower on a UK server, it doesn't really matter. FN gets the choice, he can pick the map, or he can pick the server. Given the server pick, it's quite obvious I'll pick to play on a UK server. Given the map pick, I think FN already knows what map I'll go for.

Maybe true but like I said, I just worry that I lose some of my guys in +2 timezones (i.e Finns) as it gets later. If we hold it on a Sunday I'll start it an hour earlier to give us a bit more breathing room. That means if we start at 8 UK time and allow for 2 hours of playing including vote time (could be 3 but whatever), that gives us 10 UK time, so midnight Finland time. That's about as good as it can get I think.

If we hold it on Sunday we lose a lot of the regulars, but it could work. I'll look into attendance and let you know.

 

That's my main worry. I can guarantee attendance a lot better on Saturday, but the following week isn't an option, so Sunday is the only option.

 

A lot of us KFC guys play on Sundays fine, and yesterday had plenty of large games in the morning pacific time (Viper was full, FFS):D

 

I think you could go as early as 11 AM PDT/2 PM EST/19:00 BST if it's an issue of the more Eastern players, though that might cut into dinnertime for some players.
