    Metal Smith:

After finally playing district402_alt3 I can say, that you have done a great job. The sewers are much more useable and the new ways to the flags adds much more variations.

    Only one question:
Is there a kind of auto camera if you are on the loosing team?

    And one suggestion:
Change the faction selection messages to more usefull ones, like:
Win this map by capturing all flags. The flags above and under the middle flags are the ticket bleeder flags. Engineers can't place buildings or crates. ...

From what i saw, there are just a few changes, such as holes in certain areas that you have to go find to see them, and who reads those messages, i for one have never read a single one, except for the times that vess or deadpool (or whoever) has asked me too.

Quoted for the MOTHER FUCKING TRUTH

Classis district, depsite its obvious odd parameters, was fucking fun. Games lasted an hour+, but the only people who complained, were those who lost :P

putting rooftops back in wouldn't add anything, and it's not worth the bitching it would cause for the most part.

I haven't touched this in a while, tbh. But if you want roof tops, I'll add em. Simply because the only people who won't like them are the people that don't like district anyhow.

Make a separate version with rooftops. Imo, rooftops will just be HMG camping spots.

I agree with trickster, i for one love district and would play it whenever it comes up in cycle or up for nomination. Putting in rooftops just leads to what we had problems with to begin with, spaming of weapons. At least with this version you don't have as much problem due to the fact you see people going every which way to get the map moving, and since you pushed the bleeder flags back to the 2nd flags, you see better gameplay and people enjoy it more.

Sewers are just rooftops with cover. They're a separate way to go, that's all. The difference is, roof can shoot ground level, sewers can't.

I think you can selectively restrict map turret level (so that you don't have to bother with restricting the rest).

    anyhow.

it's more of a way to MAKE SURE it doesn't work at all ever, rather than just assuming the coding for empires entities and such work properly.

Trickster, you weren't here when this was going on, so you wouldn't know.

The difference about the cover is what made all the difference. Because people can run in the sewers, that leaves them exposed when they pop up from the manhole. That means you have to cover manholes, but I bet you're one who loves a man hole, so maybe that's why you like it.
Rooftops, despite being an obvious exploit allowed for some awesome, intense ground control over the flags, while sewers are just camping points if you have an HMG.

I've played both, many, many, many times, and it's not the same fucking thing. What the devs SHOULD have done was to officially implement rooftops, but instead they added large piles of shit, quite literally.
