Basically, ELO makes it so that there are diminishing returns on beating lower ranked clans as your own rank increases. To maintain a steady increase, you need to compete against clans of similar high rank. Alternatively, a high ranked clan has more to lose by losing to a lower ranked clan than a similar ranked clan, and the lower ranked clan has much more to gain. With regards to the league not organizing matches, I don't think it's a valid complaint. Only clans can say when they will be available. For the league to impose a predetermined date/time, it raises the odds of a clan having to forfeit by default, which isn't what we want.
By fix, I mean make a rule. A clan can not fight a clan X points ahead of them unless the higher ranked clan wants to. Something along them lines. I don't want the new clans getting to fight the best clans there is. Work your way up.
That's a pretty silly rule if implemented, but I guess you can just do a match outside the league against them so no worries
Well the reason for it, is lower clans could easily challenge the higher ranking clans. The lower rank clan, if they loose, loose barely any points. If the higher ranked clan loose, they loose tons while the smaller clan gains tons. If the higher rank clans wins, they barely gain any points. Lower ranked clans should always fight the higher ranked clans for they have everything to gain and nothing to loose.
This is just going to end up with a league where the lower teams never get a game against the higher teams because why would thehigher teams want to fight a lower team for less points...
The point is: The clans that start as a lower rank if they good, they will become a higher rank and get to fight people just as good they are.
Same system as clanbase uses. http://www.clanbase.com It sucked a few years ago, don't know about now...
The answer to this is simple: You don't HAVE to fight anyone. You can turn down any matches you want. No one is forced to fight anyone. You get no points by fighting no one.
Until one clan gets ranked high enough that only one clan can fight them...if we were dealing with a league of 50 teams, I'd agree with this rule...in a league with at mot 10 clans, I see no real need for it.
To be honest I'd like to play as many clans as possible and not get stuck in games with peeps at the same level. If there was more clans it would be possible, but as it is it will just end up with the nearest clans fighting each other will just become repetitive
That's silly. Only you could invent that. 1."Best clan" is something that should change often and shouldn't be very stable. 2. New clans can't do anything. 3. Old ("good") clans get bored and play with themselves only. 4. It's a bit arbitrary. 5. For fucks sake you join the league to play not to get your "best clan" award. Best clan has to worry a lot not to lose their position. Now why is it good: 1. New clans will quickly get points after joining the league (if they win with one of the best clans). 2. More matches. It may be needed to make negative scores for losing with far better clans. But that's just a random idea that should be thought about when season 2 ends.
I thought that you would be forced into fighting like League 1. As it is not how it is, my point is mute. I could try to defend it, but it would be useless now.
Scheduling or "forcing" clans to fight would over-complicate things. If a clan wants to have matches that count toward their overall ranking, they should schedule league matches with other league clans.
No, I just thought clans need to fight people like once every two weeks if someone wanted to fight them. While is would make it more complicated it would stop clans from refusing to fight other clans if that ever happened.
You're right that it would force clans to participate. I'm not sure that's a good thing. They (and their score) can stagnate if they decide to quit.
