I love the Empires Training Center

You learn by reading the manual, playing, asking questions, reading the manual again, reading the wiki, playing again, getting yelled at by HSM, etc.

 

To this day I have never read the manual, and I looked at the wiki just enough to discover that it is old, outdated, and irrelevant.

 

The most important parts of the wiki are up to date.

You learn fastest if you play the game and some vets are helping you.

And the last round on ELC was great again.
So I get heavies with nukes on emp_coast and emp_money. First on coast some players had problems to use the nukes in the right way. But I think after money all of them know how to drive a nuke tank.

 

Had my best game on it.. My team listened to me, I microed them all :')

 

Usually the server is full of idiots that try to tell me how to play the game
and if you start to explain why they are wrong they usually start to bitch.

Of course there are sometimes the same idiots on the ELC like on other servers.
But when the server isn't to crowded normally teaching new players works fine. Just be friendly.

 

I did some commanding on the elc server
I found out that newbies listen too well

I told two people to go to ruins and they went there, I then told them to move to the ref west of ruins and they went there, then I forgot about them and at the end of the game I found them still sitting around that ref.

I had Zeke teach me infantry and Cad teach me commanding, I have never read the manual, and I was in a clan (which was, by the way, more picky than it is now) within 3 months. Being brave and actually asking questions about the confusing bits (No srs, where 2 get ammoz?) also helps a lot.

 

Meh, I can't play at all on ELC without raging.

I like to try and answer questions, but some people don't really ask questions rather ask "why ....?" a lot. A question starting with "why" can only be a fucking stupid question during a game.

yes. There are at least 3 admins that are always there it seems, and some of us pop in every now and then.

 

Can you tell me the names of the admins?
As described I can't look by myself.

 

The admins there are stupid little shits that don't know what the fuck is going on. Just a few days ago I was silenced for correcting someone giving the comm misinformation.

yea im an admin on ELC with ninja and kittamaru, us three being most active recently. can always message me on steam somehow or hit the forums if u run into a problem.i lol@pickled btw

 

you're one of the troublemakers. I recall not too long ago being in a game where you banned someone for criticizing your research path (which was quite shitty, btw)
