grendade launcher(the model not a idea)(and yes there is pics)

    today i was playing and people were fighting and such over what sucks in the game and then a member of the games development said there are next to no modelors so i offered to model and made a grenade launcher (quickly so its kinda rough) its not waht it willbe just a guide to what im making, what do you all think) no its not in the game or gonna be, but im hoping to join the team and want to know what you think of my modelling. this was made in cinema 4d.


    ps i have more pics foryou all showing its view in fps and iron sights but saved em in wrong format. they willbe up soon

    That's pretty ugly. It also has a shitload of polies it really REALLY doesn't need.

    Also, you aren't supposed to render models with color, that's the skinners job.

    it does not, but i just liked the idea of it havinga bipod, this isjust a beta so if you dontlikestuff speak up and ill change it

    It looks really bad to be honest, just a bunch of random shapes stuck together with no precision.

    Again, massive polies, and that handgrip is just stupid, you can make things out of boxes, not just spheres!

    just a little edit

    just a small edit to the one above, a ammo cartridge(like a SAW) and and new handle and trigger

    still dontknow how to lower pollies help?

    Good concept, needs a little smoothing work though...

    Maybe Empty could tell us all how to reduce these "pollies" instead of just whining about it.

    Empty thinks a poly is a type of invisible parrot that eats performance and hides inside of smooth curves.


    Also, is that model supposed to look like it's from TF2? :p

    i like the second concept, the part where you put your trigger finger
    looks a bit to roundish imho but the rest fits well with the
    blocky + Art D├ęco design.

    I guess its the high poly model so why bother with polygon reduction???

    lol man he's not saying "hey use this nade launcher and implement it as a weapon for engineers". he's obviously making more and more concepts as needed so its not the end of the world.

    no need to cuss him out, he's trying modeling for like the first time.

    letting him know the poly count needs fixing and what to do about it is allright, being a cunt about it isnt.
