No, not really. It will happen though. A game can survive longer if its on PC. Republic Commando is still being played competitively.
With a cost of 260 milion (how the fuck did they spend that much is beyond me) I doubt R can afford to just ignore potential millions.
I know right? Especially when the game still feels incomplete in a lot of areas. I was surprised by the amount of features that did not get carried over from other Rockstar games and even other GTA's. This includes this like crouching (I will not let this one go, it is extremely frustrating to play without it), switching camera angles while aiming (it was in RDR and even L.A. Noir), and small things like buying soda from a vending machine to heal yourself is not possible. Let us hope the PC version addressing these things.
Press right on the d-pad when you're next to vending machine. You can also say hi or insult random pedestrians like this. Another little thing I found if you have the fist equipped while in a vehicle & you press the fire button you can flip the bird. Well I can't for the life of me get arrested they usually just gun me down. You do keep weapons after death (it was the same in GTA IV), however I played a certain mission that strips one of your characters of their weapons, the good news was because I had already purchased the weapons all you had to do was walk into a gun store & reequip them at no extra cost. Also anyone try out the Snapmatic app on the in-game phone?
Somewhat you'll probably be rocking either a bunch of stock weapons or one or two fully upgraded near the beginning, espectially as Franklin as he starts off with the least amount of cash.
How much dough can you get by doing oddjobs? Are the (actually pretty cool) police computer system making a comeback form 4?
See that mountain... You can risk cash in stocks, buy businesses, or participate in random events. Haven't tried getting a cop car as I'm still learning the map & I'm still having trouble keeping the the cop car without it catching fire due to the relentless nature of helicopters. I also recently finished the game. Story wise it felt a bit lacking, but the character themselves were actually pretty good, I wish there more to the story. On the map itself it looks really good but there are alot of areas that look like "Man something cool is gonna happen there" & it never does; I'm guessing something might happen there online, I'll find next find out next week when the multiplayer unlocks for everyone. Also Mount Chilliad:
Kind of underwhelming to be honest. Though there are a bunch of great songs still, it seems like a lot of the other ones are kinda filler. I found that in previous gta games the song variety was more limited, but each song felt like it really belonged there. In 5, its more like real radio instead of gta radio. Another problems is that there are just too many stations now, a lot of which should just have been merged together (like all the rap stations). This results in me not wanting to sift through them and just settling for whatever. The background music is actually quite good though and a lot of times makes for a good substitute for the radio.
Those "nothign happens here" places will probably be used in dlc/addons. Just how gta4 felt really damn lacking because the story is part setup for the addons.
To anyone who will be playing online, please let me know if you are interested in starting a "crew" or doing missions together. I really don't want to have to play with any randoms. Edit: I'm on PS3
