The kid is right. McCarthy got to his position by exploiting the fear of communism. The red scare. Democracy won out and he was removed from that place of power. This is in the era where the hydrogen bomb was stolen and given to the ussr...so the red scare made some sense too. America has bourbon which beats vodka any day. Vodka has no damn flavor. And bourbon beats scotch IMO.
sry, my knowledge of your history surely is not nearly as accurate as yours, since im from europe and (suprisingly) never learnd much about your recent history (except for the parts where you interfered with our history, so mainly ww1 and 2 and a little about the independence and civil wars you had) - still whats known as "the mccarthy era" lasted a decade and it wasnt exactly what id call democratic, that was my sole point, no matter how hamster interpretes it. anyway, as said a few posts back, i dont mean to defend the USSR - which in reality qualified as fascism more then as communism - just substitute aryan with proletarian - you get it u remember east germany? it was called "german democratic republic" and was in no way democratic, i just mean to show that states not necessarily have the same constitution as their name would suggest ... also i think having no taste its exactly what makes wodka so awesome edit: oh and btw, it was the "normal" atomic bomb the soviets stole plans for right after the war, their hydrogen bomb was developed by sacharov ...
So overall the thread basically boils down to vodka being polsian and hamster being an ignorant closed minded dipshit?
which is a good book btw. Also, For Whom the Bell Tolls is another good classic from the WWI era ( I think it's wwI)
You can certainly read it that way yes. The idea of preservation of the old being the most important thing requires a rejection of new things, including ideas.
There's a saying about who can grow the first stone. You're the close minded one. cautious and on low side: cautiously moderate and therefore often less than the final outcome
