    The cubemap and HDR skybox things are nothing important. You'll just need to type "buildcubemaps" in the console while running in HDR and LDR before you release the map.

    Well, it was just me who had forgotten to fix a wall..
    And right now everything is fullbright.. That's the thing I'm worried mostly about..

    Still leaks? Vis and rad wont run if its leaky.

    No, I meant that I've been using fullbright all the time, that the thing I'm worried about is how long it gonna take to compile the thing + that.. If I make one lighting wrong.. I'll have to remake the whole thing again.

    there is a custom bsp program that can reduce compile time from hours to minutes or even seconds. even if you just use it while testing i would recommend it. check out the optimisation thread on the last page, in the "community map" forum.

    Source maps can compile with leaks?! Oh, you guys have it easy. With goldsource, if there was a leak you knew it because the compiler would take days instead of minutes, or if you were lucky crash right away. I suppose you could turn off VIS and RAD to get a compile, but why... I hated leaks so much I learned how to make maps that were leak proof, and NO I didn't use the "BIG BOX" method.

    They seriously need to fix the vertex manipulation errors. I don't think those even exist with the UT2 engine, at least I never got any... I mean, why does hammer let you make impossible shapes in the first place?! If they are impossible for *.bsp, they should be impossible for *.map. At least, possible shapes made with the vertex manipulation rarely get errors now.

    When you fix all your leaks, your compile time will drop like a rock. Also, using larger textures, and stretching textures to 2x/4x will help condense things. Null TEXTURE FTW!!!

    Okay. I'm done. I'll be good.

    But I have a 'lil question, what's the average res income that a team is given each second if it controls all the refinerys?

    money gives 60 valley gives 45 slaughtered gives 30

    A real map should give around 4-6 res if you own half the res points on the map.
    About 10 when you have all of the res points.

    This looks like it will take you about another month to get to beta, but it looks like it could be rediculously good. You are doing some FINE work. I'm excited, stop teasing me with your eye candy. When is it ready?! I want it now! Gimme Gimme Gimme! so on and so forth.

    I bet this map will strike fear in the heart of even the most most flopy servers.

    Actually Colbat, I was thinking of finish it for release very soon:p

    I know it's blocky, and sure I could make the bed a little less blocky, but if I make bumpy - you can't place structures there.

    And I know bout the textures, they look like crap really. So I'm thinking of custom ones. (the walls).
    It also got a second room (the storage room), cuz I felt that it needed more building space. And the more detail I add - the less place for structures...

    oh, I don't mind the blockiness. I just think putting some TLC into the textruring could make worlds of difference, and sometimes texturing takes some time.
