Next updates include: Bug fixes with the flags. Properly aligned throne room elevator. Cover for the ladders that replaced the fire escapes. More lights at the staircases in the north building. Fix the ladder that Candles mentioned. Add the throne room flag to the minimap. (so you know who has captured it) Ability to walk on the gondola rails. Take away bleed and lower tickets to create 'Enemy at the Gates' feel like trickster mentioned. What do you guys want? What should I add to the throne room to give people incentive to capture it? Should I add ziplines? Should I change the lighting? Anything else you guys want?
I didn't say make them that low, say 200. But no bleed, and maybe sudden death from District. That could make it really interesting.
I suppose that will do as long as long as they get some damage from their foot getting run over. I agree with sudden death mode. It can take fucking forever(or never ends) for that map to end if there is no bleed but, bleed has always seemed like a faggy way to win.
It's the mappers decision in the end. What would be the difference, assuming vanilla empires has no parachutes?
Well, in 007 Nightfire, the gondolas just pushed you along if you stood on the rails. Stand there long enough and you'd fall off when it turned a corner. And my vote is for no bleed.
It looks like the general consensus is for no bleed. I'll lower the tickets down to 101. But, what should I add to the throne room so people will actually go for it since there's no more bleed?
101 is too far, honestly. In a 20 player game, you're talking 10 spawns each. Push it to 150 at least, if not 200. Also, what Candles said. Let it push you along, and if you can jump on top of it, you just go along on it.
Problem is, then it can't come down to sudden death properly, because one team will still get spawns, which defeats the point of no revives, no squad revs, no healing, etc.
can a map detect when SD is in play and stop handing out tickets? If it can we can just increase the time between tickets to like 29-30 seconds per ticket then when SD kicks in then no more tickets.
Make a big message appear across the screen of all players saying middle is super for snipers, middle is now contested.
Well sudden death doesn't kick in properly (if done correctly, rather than using an arbitrary time limit like the original addition to District) until tickets are 0:0. That's fairly unlikely if one team is gaining tickets. Everyone is overcomplicating it. Why does the middle have to be extra important anyway? Just have no bleed, and Sudden Death when it hits 0:0, nothing more.
To be honest I completely agree with what Trickster said so far, gondolas should just push you along the rail, ticket limit feels good at solid 200~, and sudden death makes for ridiculously intense action-packed finales. If you disagree with the latter you just fail at staying alive and should go play fastrespawn TF2 or someshit. Also I somehow NEVER managed to even download azuretowers in my Empires history. How, I'm still trying to figure out. EDIT: I lied, but I don't recall ever playing it anyways. EDIT2: Had a look at _b1 (which I had) and noticed a missing texture. Anyone else have this problem, is it fixed, whatever?
