That was a proper hilarious game tho :p Actually the reason I ever got half-decent at CS:S was because some freakin' pro level family used to play on the server I started on, and in order to not be pwned instantly, I had to get better. One guy used to take out pretty much the whole team. It was insane. Actually, there's a really random thing in CS:S that I don't understand. Somehow, rushing always gave me a sort of shield of invincibility. I literally have no idea what it was, but it's not present in CS:GO or the original CS. Man...I miss those days.
The fuck you didnt, what about this thread about dropping mines from the com view? eah I'm fairly sure he never typed anything into the console, sv_cheats is always at 0. As above, "impulse 101" .
Code: void CWeaponNFEngineerKit::PrimaryAttack( void ) { auto &empParams = CEmpParams::GetSingleton(); const CSDKWeaponInfo &pWeaponInfo = GetSDKWpnData(); CEmpPlayer *pPlayer = GetPlayerOwner(); // Fuck you Trickster if (pPlayer->m_bCommander) return; (snip) } I'll just leave this here :D Although I guess it's an exploit not a cheat
I was referring to material hacks and shit like that, as Spartacus stated in his post. I've used pretty much every exploit for Empires there's been in the time I've been around, I'm not arguing with that. I'm just talking about modifying your files to cheat, which is a whole different ball-game to me.
As much as sematics point the other way around, Id argue that being able to 9mine the enemy com from across the map is very much into "blatant cheating" territory. Its also way more damaging than any wallhacks or aimbots one could have. /rant
I still fucking think there should be two classes of mines. Its silly as fuck to have a tank mine that can be set off by humans. Make a claymore type that has a large detection/explosive radius due to shrapnel and give it wall placement like old mines could be. It could still dmg tanks but at a very limited dmg.
yeh to put mines in spots even worse then inside the rax floor ... well equally bad at least - outside above doorframes where you have no chance to see them without getting to close for example? :D
It can be scripted to switch on, run a command, then switch off. All as 1 bind. There is also ways for non admins to do it. :/
