As this Mapping part of the forum is cluttered with random ideas and not maps, I have deceived to make a thread about what maps are in fact playable. This is not the complete list of all custom maps, only maps that are actively played/talked about are in this thread. For me, I only can see threads less than a month since last post so if I can't see it... not in here. P.S. Since so many mappers describe there map so informally in the mapping thread, if you want me to post a better description PM me about it. emp_atoll Atoll Beta 2 is the first public release of emp_atoll for Empires 2.2x. Atoll was a classic map back in Empires 2.1x. Many players had mixed feelings about Atoll. Some liked it, others didn't. The purpose is to see where emp_atoll stands in the minds of the players, in order to gain feedback that can later be used for modifying and updating Atoll. Not that it isn't fun, but I've always wanted to play a map that really pulled me into the setting. So the premise of this map is to fight for control of an important capital city, with BE spawning in the downtown area and NF in the frontier. Forum Location Download Link: emp_homeland_b1 emp_mesa Tada, Beta4 Forum Location Download Link: emp_mesa_b4 emp_moor Moors is a map filled entirely with rolling hills, with elevated planes scattered about on which to build bases. Moors offers intense vehicle combat and constant action. Moors is a high-adrenaline map for commanding with constant base switches and rushes. Forum Location Download Link: emp_moors_b1 emp_rainbowroad Rainbow Road is a novelty map that takes all of the nonsense and work out of the round, pitting BE and NF against each other for control of the rainbow road. With emp_rainbowroad, what you see is what you get. I hope you all will enjoy some hilariously hectic rounds. Don't judge it 'til you play it! Not for noobs due to the difficulty players will suffer from but the increased mobility allows for intense games. Okay, since everyone seems worried about certain maps... basicly all maps are added based on how it is. emp_maze is dead emp_recruit. DownHillJam is a terrible map and people only play it for lulz. Emp_Caldara, emp_concrete, emp_gorge, emp_tms, and emp_desolation could be removed. However I think only TMS and Gorge sucks enough to be removed so I will put them in a smaller area. If anyone disagrees with any changes, do say so if there is a problem.
gorge is cool enough if the you play in teams smaller than 4. and no other empires map can be used for that...
B6 of emp_insurrection is up on Napalms, and playable. B7 will be out soon, with a 3d skybox and swamp ambience, as well as miscellaneous fixes. Can you take down the link to B2 please?
