Its a coil gun that shots a constant stream of pellets, the user can adjust how many pellets are shot per second.
I'd rather call it a high-velocity peashooter than a shotgun :cute: And wouldn't such a large barrel make it inaccurate for shooting small pebbles?
Nice idea, reflex sights are always a plus and giving you more control over the fire makes it feel unique but maybe too flexible!
I'm not sure you can actually make a linear induction shotgun. I think they are fairly precise instruments and as such wouldn't react well to being filled with little metal balls. It also looks rather silly, it looks like a bolter from warhammer with the ridiculously large barrel.
The thread is about model concepts, not making a mechanically sound virtual gun. Please stop spamming threads with this crap, it would be nice to focus on the model not the irrelevant technical crap.
The logic of a weapon affects how it looks. Making a gun which doesn't look as though it would work is like making a building with a concrete roof which rests on corrugated iron walls. It looks bad because it doesn't make sense.
That would make it look even more like a bolter, because you'd have to represent the slugs ingame using a big tracer. I don't want bolters in empires, or chainswords, or anything else warhammer.
Im actually not really satisfied with the look of the gun myself, I was trying to find another "look" for brenodi so not all guns have the same design like the shotgun 1 and automatic pistol i made.
The shotgun 1 you did looks quite good. Reminds me a little of the NS shotgun except more bulky. What they all lack is something definitively brenodi, they look rather generic, try and think of some unique element which you haven't seen before in many other games and put it on all the guns. It could be a particular style of sight, like a reflex sight only the red dot is replaced with a cyan triangle witha dot inside it.
The problem with brenodi is that its modern style doesnt offer alot of freedom. Yeah I was thinkin of making the reflex sights a bit alien. The "cold, edged style" of brenodi is something used alot in video games so its hard to come up with something special. I make more concepts, maybee I accidently hit the sweet spot of Brenodi design so I can add that to all other concepts. Major problem is that to much "fancy" stuff makes such streamlined weapons, that focus on functionality, look goofy imo. NF for example is much easier, i thought of adding some weathered engravings and stuff like that to show the guns origin, developed by a lost country that was rich and powerful.
What about making them out of an unusual material? Like a white semi-metallic plastic. It would basically be a matte white with scratches like metal on it, and seams like metal plates, except it would be white.
cause you dont make a gun white, that is bad from a military stand point where ever you are from, unless you are from like hoth lol
It's not exactly brilliant logic to stick glowing displays on them either. There's nothing to stop them being painted black if needs be, but the brenodi don't seem to bothered about camoflage what with their super white buildings, and the beneficial properties of the material may offset the natural colour.
