Animations of empires

    I mean at the point we are at now. Swimming and climbing animations are pointless eyecandy. Any thing like that is pointless eyecandy. On an understaffed mod like this, we need the talent to focus on the important stuff :)

    But KILLX, think of this: The guy can't code. In what negative way does it, by giving more animations? Just cause the the team's biggest priory is bug fixing, balancing and aircraft doesn't mean that you can't add to it in other parts of the mod.

    More things, that you can show on a screenshot = more exclusivity = more folks that join = more attention = yay.

    Things to sell the mod are important, and eyecandy is a great seller.

    He can animate things the mod NEEDS. Last I checked, we were still short a dev animator ;)

    he's not there yet. Swimming is a test of skill. one Dev keeps poping in and giving advice in hope that he will fill that role. As of now he hasn't created a single animation in engine.

    animating in cinema 4d != animating something for a game

    Hogwash getting a good animator is pure WIN WIN situation for Empires, and it would in no way interfere with coding or ballance or anything else thats important...

    Did you actually read what I said? I said we need the animator, but due to lack of staffing, he should focus on stuff the mod NEEDS, not silly little things like swimming and climbing anims.

    the devs need me to animate building animations and the new animations for the shotgun
    and some other new weapons and vehicles

    there is no new human animation needed

    so updateagain, working on a grenade launcher model with animation as its weapons animations that willbe needed most, along with vehicles and such, anyway coming soon

    Please don't double post, and, if you have the time, please sync/smooth out the general animations. Viewing my alter-ego 3rd-person, the weapon animations are crap, and the reloading animations are nonexistent.

    ok guys there IS NOCONFIRMEDGRENADE LAUNCHEr, but it would be a great solution to the mortar issue, this is just a abnimation for the devs as they want to see some weapons animations before getting me working on anything

    now before you decide this is no good, it was just a quicky class test for my CCt,due next week, i probly wont use it but it only took about a hour to model and animate

    anyways this is for comtech class not empires, but tis a simple( LOOK MA NO HANDS) gun test

    I think the recoil should be larger, or rather slower, it snaps back a little too quickly.

    Just visited the thread again, and it's nice to see you're still chugging on ^^
