Revive would be less useful, but griefing? It would cause no more griefing potential than if a player just kept suiciding.

Firewarrior will gladly oblige if the panel actually makes it into the game, you just have to ask him. As for code, we have Candles, Dz, Herbie, and Beerdude. 'sides, the code already exists for the vehicle menu, the class menu would probably only require some tweaking. Or more, since I have no code experience. One of the coders is more fit to answer the question.
From a giant boom to outright harmful to your team is not "less usefull". Also have fun never getting revived ever, since noone is going to take a skill thats going to have them called "fucking retards" for "ruining our lategame". As for the panels, ive noticed ALOT of people not knowing that you dont actually have to use them at all to construct vehicles. Using B in a rax/armory and V in a vf should be made appanrent to players.
Actually the panel is already done since we have the VF one, it just needs a class window texture and some code support.

My interpretation of zoom's previous comment is that revive would go from being very powerful to a mechanic that can only be used to grief. Either I'm misinterpreting something (and I acknowledged this possibility on my previous post) or zoom is severely exaggerating his point. In general, I like to give people a chance to reword stuff because communication is not easy. Miscommunication happens to everyone.
Put the default keybinding on the panel. With some code support, maybe put the actual current keybinding, although if you already changed your binds then you likely know that they exist.
I am guessing you revived this thread because of that particular crossroads game we had today. So this really looks like QQing. Do you think it's easy to "help your team" maintain a massive ticket lead? You guys just got lucky and controlled middle, that's all. Map control should help you win, I doubt anyone would have a problem with this. But it shouldn't kill every single hope for the enemy team.
Y'all could at least try to explain your point instead of assuming it's obvious to everyone. The issue is that sometimes a player wants to die without being revived. Maybe they're killspawning to an APC, or to defend a base, or to get a vehicle, or to ninja a CV, whatever. The point is that sometimes people want to die and don't want to be revived. This becomes a serious problem when you're with revive engineers who just revive everyone they see. Player kills themself, gets revived. Player yells at person who revived them, kills themself again, gets revived again. Player now has wasted two tickets on top of the 10 or so seconds that it took and the engineer has wasted all his charge. Sure, emp_force_kill is a thing, but most people don't know about it, let alone actually use it. I personally only use emp_force_kill after I've been revived the first time, so under a system where dying costs a ticket, I've used an extra ticket already. The result is that you're penalizing people for reviving, when reviving should never be a bad thing. While currently being revived while trying to killspawn is annoying, such a change turns it from being a simple annoyance to an actual penalty.
I know this might be a pain in the ass for candles but..... when tickets are gone make it so all your buildings have permanent scout sabotage. And make 0 tickets auto start the 1 hit kill on your CV. No just draining the other teams tickets,No "sudden death". This would help speed up the end of maps. -and add a re-spawn penalty- Every ticket used adds 10 secs At least try it and see how it goes. Simple server setting that can be reverted if there are problems. (District) - Another idea for SD add a beacon to all alive players. No more scouts hiding dragging the game out for 20 mins on infantry maps. -After 5 mins of sd trigger the burn @all. (Admins could have been doing this for years)
