Default Armor Name Voting

Let me add "Use a bit of common sense" to that list.

I dont know anymore. Apparently all of the really easy stuff in empires is now a strain on the analitical ability and reading comprehension doesnt exist.

Are armours even explained in the quick guide/tutorial/whatever works at this moment? If anyone feels newbies are retards that need to be told this kind of stuff, this maybe the place to do it.

 

I will admit it took me a bit to figure out the armors when I first started playing.
It took me experience to memorize it.

light armor is the stupidest suggestion i have ever heard. jesus christ

absorbant used to be the lightest armor. budget is now the lightest armor. whats to say the weight wont be changed in the future.

cool to know even an armor name was changed because of yourself. if you can never do stuff for yourself again some good balance changes can go through (trickster's changes for himself sucked balls. mootant, etc)

 

If I had the data to get into every noobs' head, then I'd do that (and love every minute of it). Unfortunately, I have to work with what I've got. :/

It used to be a good armor but, due to the newer weapons of today is is considered sub standard in favor of composite armor.

In all honesty, I'm fine with basic, plain, or scrap armor. Whatever name we give it will have marginal effect at best.

If I was the poor person in charge of that, I would just change it to stock now and see what happens. Including all the whining that is gonna go towards me. (this applies to naming conventions, armor and weapon values are a different kind of beer)

 

We could make a social experiment and call it SUPER armor and then track if that increases the likelyness to equip it.

 

It should be Obsolete armour, since its the only name that accurately represents its use... anything other then this will make new players use it because they think it will be "well balanced" or "an economic choice"

 

I guess when we change the GUI, Plain Armour and Standard Engines will be equipped as standard, and if you have other choices you'd drag those onto the base selections to change it.

I mean, it doesn't make much sense to have it any other way. I'm pretty sure it is how it is now for some hokey coding/gui reason, because a vehicle with no armour/engine by default can't even be made.

 

I think this would drive the point home more than any name. The other armor/engines would be seen as upgrades, while the plain stuff as no upgrades.
