The tilting is going to occur based on the suspension setup. I think viroman polished the jeep (and it showed), but hasn't yet done the same for the heavies. We started that night with bone-stock heavies.
I agree, a certain amount of tilt is great, especially on hero's jeeps and other wheeled vehicles. I also noticed yesterday that 3phase scout speed heavies are borderline undrivable. Way too fast.
Lol, I know. You'll never see a typo from my phone, just a perfectly spelled word that doesn't grammatically fit at all.
I had them pretty stable before I lost my scripts. I will get them back in shape.they maxed at around 70 and were beefy.
Since your redoing vehicle scripts you should turn the NF APC 2seat back on. I miss being able to shoot from the back of it.
Hows this coming along for the tanks/apcs? I fiddled with the jeep the other night. If you want details of my findings then message me on steam
If you auto-magically figured out all of the fucked up shit with suspensions and/or everything else, you better fucking post it here or I'll find you in your sleep.
I already said that I have no intentions of allowing too much change with the jeep, i.e. making it too easy to drive. It's the tracked vehicles that require a lot of attention, not jeeps and shit like that. Jeeps should be a challenge to drive. They should slide around if you take a corner too fast, the back end should kick out, hand brake turns should help you, etc. And as I said, there will be no turbo.
Lol, it'd be awesome to have rear wheel jeeps that do exactly that. Unfortunately, they are almost undriveable with the perkier engines. Same deal with APCs. Also, does the hand brake even do anything during turns at the moment? I barely notice any affect. It's ghey as feck.
Just so I'm not losing my mind, when you guys keep using "hand brake", are you just talking about the normal brakes? When I think of handbrake, I think of brakes just on the rear wheels. However, I think most of the vehicles have brakes that are mostly evenly spread out across all wheels (although a few noticeably favor the rear wheels). I can't remember what the default jeeps use for brakes.
All the vehicles have normal brakes and hand brakes. I just don't think the hand brake is bound by default. The hand brake makes it really easy to turn. It mostly locks up the front end and allows you to spin the back end around.
Hand brake is spacebar by default. It is an integral part to driving in Empires. I honestly don't know if I could drive vehicles without it, but it's what allows you to kick the back end out in corners and slide round them, it's what allows you to pull off J turns and other crazy ass James Bond manoeuvres. It is quite simply, the greatest thing added to Empires in the entire time I have played this game.
