Well something good came of loosing the scripts... I found another way to modify vehicle behaviors. Its interesting and merits testing but, so far its promising. So this time I created new vehicle files... instead of using a batch to rotate in my files... since well the "powers" that be decided to overwrite all the vehicle scripts. I needed a new name for them... so I had to be creative. The script loss might not have had anything to do with trickster but, I am suspecting he has been locking my threads so I needed a thing to vent on.
What are some of the new features/benefits? Can you make the comm no longer glide straight into the water when hit by jeeps?:p
Yes. They won't be able to drive off with vehicles anymore. Vehicle weight will scale with how they should be. Jeep can't push LT, LT can't push MED, Med can't push heavy. It can work backwards though. However.. if the vehicle in question is in neutral(player in it and not pressing brakes) you can give them a slight push in the direction forward/opposite direction the tank is facing IF your vehicle is on the tear next to that vehicle type. Med can push heavy but, a jeep or LT can't. There is of course always ramming. You will impart a ram effect and push them a bit however you can't just take off with them like you could before.
So much mad. I am over it. I know your a dick and have to show it. Its like one of those facts of the world sort of thing. Some PPL are dicks and have to wave it around a bit so others can notice. Speaking of showing things... I have a new video that is uploading. It shows the futility of using a jeep to push objects heavier then itself such as a med tank. There is an interesting fact though... I don't think he's doing apcs, although those front wheel drive bore-fests could be better served as rear wheel vehicles if not for fucking 3phase.
I am doing all vehicles. They all need a weight adjustment and other things. Tanks and jeeps first. Com and APC last. Initial Values are as thus: Com Tank 9000 Heavy 9000 Med 5000 Light 3000 APC 1200 Jeep 700 APC and com tank I have not played with at all since the loss of the scripts. The values are not even the same as before either. These values seem to match with the new settings I am trying out though.
Mmmm, that's a light jeep. Have you done the thing where you get the jeeps to swing to the side like they're about to flip every time you turn, but they won't flip? I forget how I did it, but it was awesome.
Sure is light... didn't you see the video with the jeep bouncing off the med tank into the air? You mean tilt? ya they used to tilt hard.. you can fix that with spring adjustments though.
I don't think they are given units in the scripts, but if we know it's a unit of weight, that's good enough.
The whole bouncing-off-heavy-stuff is easy, that's not what I was talking about. I think I was talking about "tilt", but I never gave it a name. Also, you're required to explain how the fuck the suspension works. This is a requirement.
