I'm about 90% sure that's not true. Both default jeeps & the NF APC are 100% front wheel drive and have an even 50-50 split on brakes. *cough*BORING*cough* The BE APC & AFV have their torque spread evenly to all 8 wheels with about 50% brakes to the rear axle and the remainder evenly split to the other 3 axles. Lol, that was an enthusiastic explanation. I knew about the brakes, but the specific term "handbrake" connotated something separate for me. Apparently 101010 thought similarly. You've never driven lighter jeeps.
.....Ok so what I use is more of a bug / exploit. It basically will lock the front wheels and allow you to do 360s. Even in the CV. A lot of people call that handbrake and the handbrake is refereed to as the normal brake.
Handbrake is that thing that's automatically bound to spacebar that lets you do handbrake turns, bootleg turns, moonshine turns, J-turns, super U-turns and drift on occasion.
Unless you are going down a hill at the time(the one and only time a drift happened to me at least) there is no way to really drift in empires. Not enough torque at the right moment when you need it. Making the transmission manual might help just a tad in this department, but engines don't seem to be the most consistent thing here. I have been trying so long to make these tanks and apcs drift but it just ain't happening.
Yeah, I was honestly surprised that you threw 100% of the brakes on the rear wheels of your jeep, but didn't bother to reduce traction. Just give Trickster what he wants. Make that damn thing jiggle like a cheap hooker. I know you know how because I know how and you know more than me.
I gave the jeep 100 brake power in the back because now that they are lighter... 50/50 brakes tended to make the braking... horrible. I can still give %100 braking to the back while giveing it less traction in the back buy changing the sliding traction to 1 instead of 2.
I would like to say that bio diesel on these heavy engines feels kinda like how a heavy should kinda drive. Kinda slow, but easy to drive. Then again I don't remember what it was like with out scout speed, so maybe I am wrong.
Haven't imported my binds or scripts since the 2013 port so it might not work anymore. will test probably next week. If it still works I might post it on here.
also dont use the "handbreak" like youd think you use a handbreak. you start the turn, then press handbreak AND steer into the opposite direction. at high speeds you only press rather short, at low speeds you can keep it pressed almost till you stop and still slide a little. and uhm yeah put that to tooltips aswell, currently the knowledge of that is about 70% of being a non shit driver. and its 99% of boomtanking with the NF comm. if you slide into people the chance of getting stuck on a turret is lowered drastically, so you only need to watch for scouts.
Fun fact, you can change the global dirt friction amount to make everything slide all over the place.
