    I did tell you what was wrong with it, no illusion of weight, no timing, no arcs.

    If you're doing animation I would assume you know what those mean, and if you don't I suggest you do a lot more reading, starting with the 12 principles.

    I'm not going to do your work for you.

    your robot looks like he is suspended on rails that make it shake up and down perfectly vertical

    observe how a human walks

    shoulders shake to keep balance
    back moves
    weight is being moved from one side to the other as legs move up and down


    basically, you've got it down pretty good excluding everything up and including the waist, when something walks, not just the legs move but the whole body constantly corrects itself to keep its balance, and not trying to mimick this in an animation makes it look like the character is floating in space, and looks very unnatural

    a good example of proper (extremely well done animation, seriously best example i have ever seen) is Jurassic park, the velociraptors walking

    HAPPY NEW YEAR


    so working on a new model with a more complex rig to support rotating and multiple sectioed torso movement along with a decent necv and head on the new one,what do you guys think of the simple shadow bare look on all my animations?

    Stop working with robots, the only thing robotic motion will look good on is a robot, you need to work with simple, human figures.

    Yeah, we need some serious improvements with infantry animations. Have you seen them recently? Also, the NF pistol melee attack doesn't match the 3rd person animation.

    Wouldnt it just be simpler to grab some empires models do som new animations for them and show those instead?

    I don't know if this will get you the things you need, but I think it will.

    Empires needs swimming-animations, maybe some for climbing ladders too.

    Yes, but we don't need those yet. Swimming and climbing are pure eye candy. Eye candy is last priority. We don't even fucking need eye candy ;)

    Replace everything with different coloured cubes and then tell me it's not needed.
