Theres no new ui ingame, or different graphics, its networking and performance optimization. Its just the UI outside of the actual gaming part
No, Im hyped about custom games. Theres more than just that, I just ment for the ingame part its only performance and networking.
hopefully theres a mode where games will run 20 minutes instead of 40. its pretty much the only reason why i stopped playing
^valve promises that with one of the custom maps they're shipping @zoom These are the changes you'd be interested in, can't wait for the capabilities of Source 2 outside of dota. Look at how many times they brag about multithreading, no more loading screens that make the game feel like its crashing. http://www.dota2.com/reborn/part3
The overthrow game mode is pretty neat. I'm going to sink a few hours into custom games from now on I think.
Play as PA in Overthrow, funny shit. Unless you are against a Huskar or Leshrac. Also game breaking bug: Illusions can drop items which the original hero can pick up and then sell. I thought it was fixed but I can reproduce it in a bot match.
is it? like it would be different in empires, why you think its district/escort/money/rinserepeat. same origins. people know their exploits which make them a tad better. its about winning, not playing. the fact that you are play the same map, doing the same things for the thousands time is less important. its also similar in almost any game and i only say almost so noone can say "but this excotic game barely anyone plays is different" (not meaning to diss such games) also empires isnt chaotic, it follows a very precise set of rules. it only appears chaotic if you dont know them. edit: it probably also has to do with that a known evil may appear less evil then the unknown. in this case replaying the same thing over and over ad nauseum, but at least the chance ppl know what to do is good. probably a mixture and certainly not valid for everyone either.
It is, because if you ever listen to Paradox in a game, he goes on endlessly on how great chaos is for the game. It's hilarious how far off the mark your post is, with that in mind.
