Well the story I came up with is that the NF invaded a Imp military base. The Imp are now battling their way out of the base through the sewer. The NF came in on a jeep blitz and the Imp are trying to escape before the NF armor rolls into the area.
I ALWAYS go NF and almost always win , my team mostly wins still defending the first flag You can take out the front turrets of the BR base easely with your bazooka (you can hit one from NF base) Doobie hasnt fixed ALL the ways of getting onto the BR only levels taking out the VF by sneaking inside their base via side, sprint past the RADAR and hide behind the armory. Spam nades to the turret covering the VF, build a ML or MG if youre realy scared of getting killed, start deconstrcuting without tanks BR always lose
My suggestions for thise map is create enough high rising smoke stacks, that it makes it hard for artillery strikes to reach their targets before smacking into the side of a wall or stack. Remove the crates scattered among the paths to encourage BE tanks to move in further without fear of getting stuck, because let's face it, it sux when you have to go reverse on a 30' slope plane in a hvy tank. And I'm always seeing NF having more of the high ground and BE being stuck on the streets, access ways into the tops would be nice, and level out the playing field.
BoF you're forgetting that there's always a lot of infatry running down there, if you remove the crates they're fucked. Forgive me my coarseness, but this is the case.
I dont have ways for the imp to get to the high levels cuz the imp are soppost to be ESCORTing the vehicles to the end. The NF team is soppost to have the high ground, and the imp should be advancing on the low ground. This is not always how it happens, but its how i dreamed it to
Its highly biased in favor of Brenodi and its far to easy to protect the veichles and completly cut of NF from flanking attacks...
On NF side this map becomes playable after getting 10 or more players in their team. HE arty is ultimate weapon here. In earlier versions you could risk opening the gate and killing arty this way. Now it's impossible.
Some time has passed. And gameplay on Escort has changed, as most players know about a abilities of the different classes and how to use them. And so I have to say, it seems, that escort is nearly unwinable for Brenodi now. Or is it just me, thinking so? Let me explain, why: Keep in mind, that, if nobody would do anything, Northern would win automaticly, so they are in advantage. Now, combine that with some grenadiers, putting some mines around the first flag outside Brenodis Base while Brenodis is keept busy from the other Northerns. And one engi can put up all defenses that Brenodi has to fight in that time. And if that isn't enough, it is still possible for Northern, to get on the - from Brenodis point of view - left upper way. That way, even in minority it is easy for Northern to win a match. So the day before yesterday: Me and 7 Northerns against 13 Brenodis. No chance for them. They mentioned to get the first flag around 350 Tickets left...from 3.000! It's so unbalanced, that it ain't even fun for Northern, at least for me. So yesterday, tried twice to help Brenodi. Northern used same tactic as written above. Frustrating. We hab no Chance. 13 Brenodis vs 10 Northern this time. So, what can be done? Well, besides I don't like these high structures on the new escort, they are okay for fairness. But I say, tear down the roof just outside the Northerns first spawnpoint, but also the turrets, so that Northern can Ninja again. Or raise the incoming res, so that more vehicles can be built. Or give Brenodi more tickets...but a match on escort lasts very long already. Or any better surgestions? Or maybe totally different opinions? Perhaps you have won escort lately with Brenodi. If so, how did you managed to do so? Or, think about, was it just, that Brenodi was in such majority, perhaps twice as much player as Northerns?
I haven't seen BE win in a long time. I think if the problem lies anywhere, it's at the third flag. Get a few good grenadiers here, and their mowtars are just too powerful for the Brenodi rifles, particularly in tight spaces. I do still find it fun to play though, it's a challenge, but I admit it could be made slightly easier on the attackers.
I believe the game is balanced. I recently, in one day, won once with Brenodi and lost once with Brenodi. I think the issue is the teams. The game I lost as Brenodi, I (being a medium tanker, yes not good on escort I know) was in the lead with a medium tank, with a nuke tank behind me AND an artillery behind that. Unfortunately, the mines prevented us from advancing and three grenadiers killed all of us. I blame this on lack of teamwork on BE's part. Infantry not supporting tanks, tanks not supporting eachother. The other game I won, I was again in a medium tank and one of the CW members (I forget who) stayed with my tank THE WHOLE time on foot (mostly) and was single-handedly able to destroy ANY grenadier who decided to try to kill me. An APC followed up with HE cannon and destroyed the barriers, and my medium tank would push through so the grens would all turn around so they get eaten by infantry and APC. Teamwork, too, on NF. Too many grens and nuke is too effective and barriers aren't build, too many engies and its hard to kill tanks. Engies need to support, rifleman need to kill the infantry covering the tanks (like the faithful Imperial CW soldier with me) so the grens can concentrate on the armor.
I always go NF because it's more fun. I get more satisfaction from killing 1 tank as a gren than killing 20 people in a nuke tank.
You do know that Defuse skill lets you drive over mines, don't you? A BE grenadier with defuse on a 3-phase jeep can easily get a drop on the NF team and cap the first flag while their grenadiers are still stocking up on ammoz. From there, the 2nd flag is easy pickings, since half the NF team will stubbornly (and futilely) try to re-cap flag 1. Flag 3 is the toughest one, and further flags really depend on how well BE APC drivers can avoid getting killed.
Looking at the pug, I've both lost and won games as NF and BE. It's a very specialized map that requires tons of teamwork.
It is balanced. I have both won and lost on Escort, and every round requires immense coordination. While I thought it was biased to BE, with their nuke tanks which were impossible to stop with engie support, I learned that they too are easy to kill if your team works together.
