What do you think of the new Escort ?

i say they start with enough for a arty chasis with no armor, engine, or weapon.

 

They only way to make Escort fair, is to take it out. I'm sorry, it's the only solution to it I see.

 

If anyone wants to leave arty on escort he must:

a) make firing with arty from its spawn/safe locations impossible
b) make BE have res for just one arty and recieve next very slowly.
c) make it more or less possible to kill the arty.

 

Disable artillery cannon related research?

 

the problem with removing tanks from escort is that the NF would alwase (should alwase) win.

 

Not tanks but just artillery tanks. Nuke tank gives NF some chances to destroy it. Skilled arty driver won't give such chance at all. That usually ends with people saying "gay" and leaving the game.

 

You could add some routes for NF to get to the arty easily.

 

Then they'll arty that route, what'd you expect?

 

If its under thick walls they can't.

 

yeah arty become a real problem, but you could make the research so that you cant get he arty shellls or the mideum one (i gorgot their names) but keep the long rang and other type

 

Just forbid all shells aside of the Standard Artillery Shell.

 

I really HATE being NF on that map.

either:
-you're constantly loosing, and I start getting violent towards my mouse
-you're holding back the Brenodi Empire, which means you can get stuck in the same loop on the same terrain for an HOUR. god it's a nightmare.

on the other hand, being Brenodi is really rewarding.
if you can get past the first flag, which i can usually do on my own:
-you're either helping your alliges capture land
-or you're risking your life behind cover
-and you have to outwit your opponeants, making decoys or finding spots and routes not covered by enemy.

my favorite moment is when I lead a little group attacking the second flag underneath a load of men and turrets, to steal the flag from under them.

not an unballanced map.

 

escort would be th best map ever, i mean the concept is just freakin awsome. all that needs to be done is make the advantage of being on defence and the advantage of not having to kill everything = the advantage of tanks.

ppl need to keep in mind that balancing escort is the jugling of these 2 very different, yet powerful, situations.

I don't remember when I saw arty mega spam on escort. Arty whores are gone these days...

Lastly I saw more than often capturing of first Brenodi flag.

 

I've never seen that but I really wanted to. mainly because I'm always brenodi

 

escort is about to get a little reworking to make NF a little better. Coming soon..

Last patch was BE sided, this one is NF rebuilding.

This update was fairly small. Although it was small, i think it will change gameplay alot. Once i get the gameplay flowing better, then im going to work on a larger update.

Wait b4 I say anything... is Escort primarily supposed to be a city-based map or an industrial based map?
