Vehicle weight: Too lenient

    You can put two cannons, two missiles, chain gun, full armour and upgraded engine on a med tank and still be under the weight limits.

    Yea that is bad. it you would say have to have only the basic engion, armor or drop the missiles that would be more on par with the other chasis.

    I think that you should have to choose not to have either

    full armour
    full weapons

    that would be ok. the same applys to nuke tanks: you can have a nuke tank with full armour, HE cannon and plasma MG if you want.

    Then every single tank would have to be balanced like that, the BE med is the workhorse of Brenodi...

    I think the vehicle wait is fine as it is. Vehicles should be able to be full outfitted, as there are not enough options in the current state.

    Shit, I think its the opposite. This is the future. I should be able to put 4 cannons, 3 missiles, 3 chain guns, double full armor, and 3 engines, that can hold a squad of 16. I mean damn you can do anything you want in the future. Shit I have a Pow Pow Power Wheels Hummer that can hold more weapons on it.

    what's the point in weight if not to limit you in some way

    I guess if the slow down effect was more pronouced, then that would be cool,

    but i like the idea that you have to pick and choose, not just get everything.

    Please don't fuck up tanks exactly as they were earlier. Heavy tank couldn't (or even can't - I'm not sure) get enough equipment to be really useful. Precise reasons why it shouldn't be nerfed (btw nerfing everything you see isn't good):

    1. You're already limited by heat so you won't shoot 10 weapons in 1 second and not overheat. If you'll try you'll overheat and get killed even by LT.
    2. If you spend more money on tank you should get something from that money.
    3. You can buy at most N layers in *one* slot. It's already very easy to get killed in one vs one. If someone would limit weapons & armor more tanks would be as useful as paper tanks in bigger battles.
    4. It's irritating if you can't get decent config: good cannon + good ML + good armor. We have *research* to limit ability to buy good combos at beginning of the game. Good engines are bundled in trees with crappy/expensive armor types.
    5. I don't remember that anyone said (for quite long time from 1.07 release) that there is any problem with that you can put too much stuff in tank.

    That's what I'd like it to be but it is a little too lenient (sp?) the way it is just now. Example:

    A medium tank with heaviest and full armour with heaviest engine:

    BE Heavy with two railguns:

    Both are the same weight and personally, I would understand making a sacrifice for nuke, putting it on the same level as the NF heavy.

    About last picture: I don't know how much railgun weighs but I'd like to put nuke ML + 2 HE cannons in my tank + good armor. As I said earlier research takes lots of time (nukes cost 3k) and such tank isn't that cheap as for example LT. Additional cannon slots are there because NF has really powerful LTs.

    Previous screenshots: everything is fine IMHO.

    I noticed this aswell, and I actually liked the weight limit in 1.07, it was one of the reasons to get (or not get) a specific armor type.

    and that's the point of being able to customise your armour levels.

    If it were up to me, I'd make armour stronger, heavier and then the average you would put on your tank would be 2/3 the limit. this would be interesting, as then you could specialise your tank and such.

    I think tanks are fine, no need to nerf them. Like Mootant said this is compensated with heating.

    BTW how come is seems that everytime I kill you, you post about it somehow? :confused:

    EDIT: Besides, I mentioned this a while back when the weight limits were too strict too and it was shot down for the opposite reasons that have been given here. Funny that, really >.>

    The problem previosly with the heavy was that only it's weight limit was nerfed, while other tanks were relativley uneffected; if the balance is tweaked ON EVERY TANK, then a sort of a golden line can be reached...

    As it stands right now; there is no point in the weight limit; as you have to work very hard to reach it. The engine is responsible more for the heat then the weight.

    I do think that all tanks need a diet, as right now they can carry ungodly amounts of weapons without a hinch...
