Do these said same futuristic vehicles come equipped with a Mr Fusion + Flux Capacitor that's detachable too?
sry, only read the first page and this one, so i dont know if this has be said...but give scouts the ability to hack an unoccupied vehicle (except com) to make the auto destruct kick in instantly. let it count as a hacked building for experience purposes.
What if you could hack the vehicle as scout so as soon as the enemy got into the vehicle, it EXPLODED!!! Extra points for hacking it when its still in the VF lol
meh thats the terrain of grenadiers... 3 mines placed around the tank and the first one that enters goes Boom!
If the vehicles skin color would change between red and blue, and the team insignia would change as well, I think vehicle hijacking would work well. A required skill could also be fitting when it comes to hijacking complex vehicles like tanks.
perhaps a 2 skills system for those that want it hard to capture vehicles. skill 1: disable vehicle: allows the player class to disable an enemy vehicle, making it neutral and capturable by either team. skill 2: vehicle capture: allows the player class to capture a disabled vehicle. must have 'disable vehicle' skill to use this skill.
i'm all for what looks and IS a spray on the side, as if it has litterally been sprayed. but I'm NOT for suddenly it looking blue for no reason, that would just look rediculous.
I think at the end of the day it's "too many cooks spoil the broth" with all these ideas. The only problem people seem to have is that when they kill a guy and his tank is left intact which then takes an hour or two to deconstruct and that's if you're an engineer. I think that after X number of minutes spent out of range of it's last owner (i.e the last person who got in it) the vehicle should self destruct. And if they take the engines with them, why couldn't you do a dump in the engine socket to disable the vehicle?
I think your all just over thinking things. Right now we already know if something has purple smoke coming out of it something is wrong. Why not just add that if the vehicle is hijacked? And make it a skill so not any one can just hop in a tank.
Well I do play empires and I never noticed it, also if people still think it's a problem then the X number of minutes is obviously too long. It's a simple matter of interpretation, when I am shooting people I rarely take the time to note minor details like that.
I should close this thread. I guess everyone missed my post where I said Empires will never have vehicle hijacking.
