This idea is pretty fail. I already kick people from the ELC when they use that program to play audio clips and it unmutes themselves every time. This would only make people rage more. That's a fine idea. have you led mod development before?
Maybe because I want it? If you're a comm, and you get muted, it's fucking tough. I'de rather be kicked out than muted, because when you're muted, you might not know and people wont do what they should be doing. I think it would help for when people freak out when you recycle a base because they weren't listening...happened today in fact.
Yes but you don't win sometimes, you just recycle the base and be an ass, and then you get voted in again.
To be fair, HSM usually does want to win, and practically falls over himself whipping his team to do it. That's actually kinda rare, because most people who yell at ya either get lazy or grieferish quite regularly, whereas HSM pretty much always goes for the win. People like that, really. It's great having someone who always believes your team can win, even if he gets whiny and bitchy after a while when you don't.
If you're not trying to win your hardest, then why play? At least thats what I always say...that, and "Trying and failing is still failing". :p
I like this suggestion. It means I can micspam my team to shit and they're helpless. I approve. Nothing will stop my ride of the Valkyries.
Oh I know, i'm always trying...just a little quieter than you :p But that's one of the reasons Empires is draining, because myself, and I think quite a few other people, tend to put a lot more into each game than say, something like CSS. It's really a winning point of the game to make people feel like doing that, and why we're all still here, tbh.
To have fun, perhaps? I can enjoy a good round I lose. Every MAD vs JPL scrim was an absolute blast. And we lost every one.
I understand, but winning IS fun. One of the best games I ever had was when I had lost, but it was because the team did their best, everyone was trying to hold out until the end. The odds were about 20% 80% in their favor, but we still held out for half an hour. It's ok to lose, when the team still tries, and doesn't make stupid mistakes that can't be corrected. However, most losses are because of stupid decisions from someone on the ground, hence why I can never enjoy losing.
Yeah, I have to admit I have a lot of fun with epic losses, and it's usually the time I play best - when the team is getting utterly dicked on I don't mind how the game goes, as long as the team is trying, hard...and it's not like a steamroll - we're making 'em bleed like hell.
