Its funny how far can one go with all the rule abuse/exploiting/being an ass to others and generally bringing nothing good to the game or even the opposite and constantly repeating it, in empires. Makes me wonder if it wouldnt be better to look a bit less on how the game is low on players and actually make some proper punishments. Wondering how many players the game has lost because of those individuals. Just noting for those admins whos judgement is affected by popularity of the game as I have noticed. Not saying that my judgement wasnt affected by this sometimes, one just wants to judge more mildly when u know that there is barely 30 active players or so... I just mean, how does one reduces the number of breaking the rules? Make proper or even tougher punishments. Not neccessarily perma bans, but surely bigger temps. One should think twice about finding holes in "rules" or in "what is exploiting and what is not". And currently it feels like its easy to get away with any anti gameplay behaviour and I would say that many people arent even affraid of getting punished. And often the punishment is too weak to have any future improvements. Yes there are admins problems (atleast some people seem to say). Yes there are admins who dont care. Yes so many times there are no admins. (Grab a demo, upload and send or stfu) And yes there are admins, who will not punish because of being affraid of making a wrong decision. And I totally agree with Trickster. His server, his rules and one of the "rule" is, that he trusts admins ability to judge if this and that was against gameplay/rules. And yes, it may vary. And it is very very usual in servers of other games of similar kind. Just because u did something bad while having an admin not doing anything about it, doesnt mean that another admin will not consider it bad. And FFS learn to judge for yourself what is anti gameplay and what not when playing online games. How can u even compare rights in real world to those in a game, such a nonsense. In online games u have no rights, there are no judges, courts or anything like that. Only those people tempting the banhammer will get it and if u think the ban was wrong, you can always appeal. Just that in Paradox case, there are barely any chances of any appeal or even any point in him making a report on admin abuse. Just because we all know how he is and what his reputation is. IMHO Like I said, this is what u get for being a dick and there goes your credibility. Dont be a dick, dont have problems. Be a dick once, and you are gonna meet a lot more problems. The one who dont know what it means to be a dick, must definitely be "naturally" a dick. Is it worth it? -- Thats my opinion.

Back in the days I was a major asshole and abused alot of exploits in empires and I never ever got banned for anything. I only had 2 bans while playing empires, once because vicky thought I did something someone else did and the second one was for disagreeing with pickled heretic (he was admin). If you are one of the core players of empires and in the top 10% skillwise you can basicaly do whatever you want. No one will ever punish you for anything. About tricksters server, well he is the one that exploits the most...
